    Egg Drop Project Essay

For this project, I made a capsule for an egg that is to be dropped from about twenty feet. This capsule that I made was not what I was thinking at first but when I started to build it, I saw that this capsule would hold better than the one that I was thinking which was a triangular capsule with the egg in the middle but I saw later one that the egg would break if it hit one of the flat sides. The capsule is a cube that is made out of the tongue depressors and I used most of the yarn for the big cage and I used the Elmer’s glue to glue the tongue depressors together. I used pieces of the paper clips to hold the popsicle sticks together with the tongue depressors and some more glue. I then made the center, which was made by two popsicle sticks that I had which formed into a triangle and I made a little railing around it with the paper clips. I then put the cotton puffs inside the triangle that was formed with the two popsicle sticks and it is used to cushion the egg while it’s falling so when it hits the floor, then it wouldn’t receive all the damage if the cage were to break and the small egg holder were to fall out of the capsule or if it were to hit the floor straight. I used the pipe cleaners to hole the egg inside the egg holder so that it doesn’t fall out of it and break. I used some glue to glue the cotton puffs to the railing that was made for the egg holder and to the two popsicle sticks.…

Eventually, I was able to put an addition onto one of my designs which gave me confidence in its ability to protect that precious egg. I will explain why my design worked so well in respect to impulse, air resistance, and stability.…

Laughing we went to the house next door to them as we rang the doorbell when the door was opened, we all yelled “Trick-or-treat!” holding the candy bowl out in front of her the woman pulled a small gift bag and gave it to Sammy. We were all happily chatting as we walked next door, turning to Nathaniel I said, “You should totally put your mask on to scare them,” He agreed and put his hand in his pillowcase and tried to find his mask. His eyes went wide as he realized that he had lost it. When we rang the doorbell, Mrs. Tracy opened the door, she opened it very slowly, there was smoke leaking out the door and she was wearing a costume and held a bowl of candy. After we had gotten candy from her we began the walk to my house. We stopped at houses along they way, not that many, though when we reached the three-way stop my dad stopped us and said we should go to one house before hand. We all went to that house and got even more candy. Then, we walked over to my house. We rang the doorbell and my dad threw open the door and grinned and held out the bowl of candy. “Trick or treat!” we all chorused and held out our bags for candy. My dad laughed and dumped the entire bowl of candy into our…

Easter Island, one of Western Chile’s best kept secrets has become one of todays most popular tourist destinations with nearly 900+ Maoi statues dominating the island terrain. Although today, Easter Island is home to upwards of 2,500 people, it wasn’t always this way. It is said that Easter Island was first discovered around 300-400 A.D. according to History.com with other sources claiming as late as 1200 A.D. When settlers first began to invade the island, nearly 16 million trees spanned the island ranging in heights some towering upwards of 100 feet; today the island has a pathetically low number, some estimate as low as one or two. Many historians attribute…

In the spring of 1934 an organization launched its first Easter “seals” campaign to raise money for its services. The reasons such a campaign came to be was from an event in 1907, when an Ohio-businessman, Edgar Allen, lost his son in a streetcar accident. Selling his business after not having the adequate medical services available to save his son, he began fund-raising to build a hospital in his hometown of Elyria, Ohio. Allen was beyond shocked through the new hospital to discover that children with disabilities were many times hidden from the public eye. Inspirited by this, in 1919, Allen founded what became known as the National Society for Crippled Children. With the Campaign that later came in 1934 donors would show their support by placing the seals on envelopes and letters.…
