EDCI 5030: A Case Study
The EDCI 5030 course assignments challenged its graduate scholars to critically observe and evaluate the instructional practices employed by fellow educators in a classroom setting. For help in assessing the instructional strategies utilized, the ideas of fellow educators Carol Ann Tomlinson and Steven Zemelman were examined and applied to real-world scenarios. As education continues its evolution into student – centered learning, Tomlinson’s et al. (2006) strategies of UbD and differentiating instruction are revered by fellow educators as one of the most effective strategies modern education strategies.
