E. E Cummings Research Paper
To begin with, e.e cummings always wanted to be a poet. As a child his mother would read and write with him. E.E Cummings was a very creative child and had a lot of potential. Eventually, E.e Cummings grew up and started writing poems. Some of his poems ended up in an anthology named “eight Harvard poets”. Also, some other poems ended up getting published in “the dial”. An interesting quote that he wrote said “so far as I am concerned, poetry and every other art was, is, and forever will be strictly and distinctly a question of individuality” (biography.com). Edward Estlin cummings went to Paris to go study art. And soon after decided to go to New York. This paper is going to be about the ups and downs of a wonderful poets life, Edward Estlin Cumming. First of all, Edward Estlin Cummings story started on October 14, 1894. He was born in Cambridge Massachusetts. His father was a minister at harvard and taught latin and greece. E.E Cummings earned his B.A. and M.A. from Harvard university. Eventually, He decide to go serve overseas in WW1 as a volunteer. Sadly, he got caught for sending letters back home about his anti-war views, which resulted in him being kept in a french detention. In just is an amazing poem for anyone who is feeling relaxed, or ready to read. This poem takes place in the springtime at a park. Here's A brief summary of this poem,(spring has sprung, and all the kids and family are happy,and they are headed to the park. There is a balloon man that whistles and all the kids run to him.) rhyme scheme: there are some stanzas of four lines that is followed by a refrain of one line. I think E.E cummings did a great job making this poem feel alive for you. Also, I feel like he tries to brighten the mood for you. Overall, I feel that this poem is one big happy, confusing
