E. Cummings When God Decided To Invent
E.E. Cummings wrote “When God Decided to Invent” to illustrate his thoughts about God’s creations. Just from the title it shows that Cummings believed that God chose to make/create things. The poem shows Cumming’s interpretation of how God wanted to create the world, “and everything began” (Cummings, 4). The poem starts off with a clear message, and then the words start to become jumbled, and harder to understand, “himself he picked the was“ (Cummings, 6). This leaves the second stanza to be interpreted as you want. Everyone might have a different answer, which represents how everyone's life is different. God created life, and he created earth, but he does not choose your fate. You choose your path, and you see what happens after that.

We all may have asked ourselves this question. Who made us? What is our purpose? Well we find in Genesis, God created Adam and Eve. Ultimately, when you are married, you are to be united as one. Genesis 2:18-25. We are created in the image of God, which means we are to be like God and serve God for His purpose. Scripture tells us that everything we do, we are doing it for the Lord, 1 Corinthians 10:31.…
