Through researching and studying these different sources I have discovered the author’s have stated their arguments rhetorically. By doing this they are attempting to gain the reader’s attention and pull them onto their side, showing them that their view is the right one. In this rhetoric essay I will show you how these three articles are all based on gun control but part ways eventually because of their different views. My first source source was written by Walter Kirn his article “I’ve Owned Six Guns, I’ve Drawn Them On Bad Guys I Want To Be Understood” was published by The New Republic. He talks about his childhood growing up his entire life with guns. He goes on to discuss his views on gun control and his real life experiences. He sees guns as a tool that have certain good uses but can be dangerous if they are put in the wrong hands. His quote “The gun is as dangerous as the right hand that wields it” shows that he is putting the blame on the person holding the gun not on the gun itself. My second source “Walmart: Americas No. 1 Gun Source” written by George Zornick was published by the Nation, and has a different view on the situation at hand. He takes the blame away from the man holding the gun and puts its solely on the distributor. In the case if Zornick’s the distributor is Walmart and how easy it is to buy and access weapons and ammunition. My last…

After a while, the first trickles of a frozen stream, melting in the spring sun, creep up my left arm. This trickle develops into a wave, as my thoughts begin to cloud and my mind starts fading in and out of conscious. A mask is placed over the lower part of my face, feeding my lungs with strawberry scented chemicals. I’m fighting a losing battle with my eyelids; eventually, I succumb. The once distinct, monotone beeps and baritone voices in the room begin to drown out. My hearing can be likened to that of a scuba diver, slowly submerging into the deep abyss.…

Though the ocean seems like a very quiet place, but if listens carefully, one might just hear the sounds of the fish choir. Most of this undersea music comes from soloist fish, reiterating the same calls again and again. But when the calls of different fish ………………….co existed , coincide ,combine, mingle with this, they form an ensemble. Robert McCauley and his counterparts of Curtin University in Perth, Australia, discovered seven definite fish choruses, occurred mainly at dawn and at dusk ; by recording vocal fish in the coastal waters off Port Headland in Western Australia over a time period of one and a half year.
