Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about one of the most rapidly growing phenomena in today’s drug scene Ecstasy

Thesis: From the various kinds of drugs appeared, the use of ecstasy considered the most dangerous drug on destroying human brain in history.

B. Reason to Listen: The Ecstasy may attack your brother, sister, father, and important to be knowledgeable about the signs of its usage how to treat and prevent.
C. Thesis Statement: From the various kinds of drugs appeared, the use of ecstasy considered the most dangerous drug on destroying human brain in history.
D. Credibility Statement:
1. As I told u before I was one time a victim of an Ecstasy pill that made my sister beautiful graduation party into a disaster for me
2. I have read some researches on the internet done by other people, and have done research on the Internet.

1. First, I will define ecstasy
2. Second, I will discuss the effects of using ecstasy in different terms and the signs of its usage

A. Ecstasy, one of the most rapidly growing phenomena in today’s drug scene1. * Illegal “club drug” * White crystalline powder with a slightly musty odor * Produces effects similar to mescaline (hallucinogen) and speed (stimulant) * Usually in gelatin capsules or tablets * Stamped with names or symbols
Transition: Now that I have discussed the definition of ecstasy, I will discuss the effects of using ecstasy in different terms and the signs of its usage

B. The Ecstasy use have two terms of effect short, long depends on the period of usage and very difficult to track the signs of use.
1. Short term effects: a) Feelings of well-being and empathy b) Reduced anxiety c) Enhanced self-confidence d) Greater acceptance of others e) Increased energy f) Increased desire for physical contact and visual stimulation g) Intensified awareness of senses

2. Long term effects: a) Increases in heart rate and blood pressure b) Nausea c) Loss of appetite d) Jaw tightness e) Possible brain damage f) Need greater amounts for the same effects g) Compulsive chewing and teeth clenching h) Anxiety, panic, and depression i) Health risks increase if ecstasy is combined with another drug

3. Signs of use: a) Hangover feeling and depression b) Moodiness, anxiety, and paranoia c) Irritability d) Loss of appetite e) Insomnia f) Chills or sweating

Transition: Now that we have learned about the effects, signs of use of ecstasy, I will discuss who could be an ecstasy user. C. Ecstasy usage not related to specific groups or people, anyone could be an ecstasy user

Transition: Now u knows a lot about ecstasy in general, let us talk about the treatment options if there is any.

D. Experiments and researches done facts arrive that no specific treatments exist for ecstasy use 1. Diagnosing ecstasy use is difficult 2. Dependency can be addressed with cognitive behavior therapy and self-help groups

Transition: Finally, I will discuss what to prevent ecstasy use E. Many things and procedures to prevent the spread of ecstasy, treatment not available but prevention is our part of the responsibility. 1. Help children refuse drugs 2. Having a community working together to prevent this phenomena from appearing again
