Each year more and more schools adopt some form of dress codes. They range from complete and total uniform to restrictions on certain articles of clothing. It has become a very controversial topic. Students may be punished severely, even expelled. Studies show that every time a student is penalized and taken out of class for violation of dress code, their chances of academic success is lowered significantly. Students should have the freedom, ability, and the right to dress however they want and express
