“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Dreams are the most amazing things in life, we all love to dream and we all love to hope and to see ourselves getting better and achieving more each day. Dreams are the only reason that makes people like me to be happy and force life’s obstacles. I always try to set my goals and work hard as I can to reach them. I believe with determination. Ever since, I never fear to face the hardships of life, because fear is an ugly word. I always convince myself to never give up and I strive to look forward to what person I would become if I achieve my goals. However, the older I become, the more I thought about hopes. The dictionary states that hope is a wish or desire accompanied by confident expectation of its fulfilment. Knowing the true meaning of hope gave me an even stronger desire.
I was born in a small town in Cebu, where life can be hard, a place that I considered my training ground for facing my obstacles. I’m a person whose curiosity had led me to seek become a more educated and knowledgeable person.
In 17 years of life, I have finally realized how hard my parents have worked for us. Especially my mom. I come to realize why she pushes me to work hard in school. It was important to her that we did not go through the same childhood she went through, she wanted more for us. Listening to my mom telling me about how she struggled throughout her life because of poverty, it made me realize that I cannot let her down. I have the responsibility to live up to my true potential, not only for her but for myself. Even with all the challenges that my mom is facing, she still manages to raise us and love us. Achieving goals in life and doing the best I can in school are one of the keys things that my parents tells me that are extremely important. My parents have always encouraged me to get the

In life, I believe it is important to have something that you can strive for and dream about. Having dreams also gives hope, which is imperative in this journey we call life. If we all have something to work towards, then I believe it will keep us working hard and keep us driven. An example in my own life used to be to be a baseball player. After I messed up my shoulder meaning I couldn’t play anymore that dream simply wasn’t possible. Now I just have different dreams and aspirations. I want to be an accountant and then to move on to bigger and more major business ventures. This hope can keep me working hard to get to where I want to be and to have hope that I will make it.…

An Analysis of Dreams by Timothy Findley "We are such stuff as dreams are made on" (Shakespeare The Tempest) perhaps most accurately sums up the human fascination with their own dreams. Fleeting, transitory, and possessing their own reason, these strange passes of fancy strike attention and draw importance to themselves. In Timothy Findley 's short story "Dreams", the human obsession with, and dependence upon, dreams is taken up in detail. The story can be seen as symbolic in its entirety, with each aspect of the story representing some true part of life.…

Many people in my life have prepared me for my future and have taught me how to handle any obstacle thrown my way. My parents have inspired me to never settle for anything but the best, and have taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Both of my parents came from families without a strong financial basis or a stronghold of people who believed that they could excel; moreover, this led my parents to becoming doctors and providing support in every aspect for my sister and I. My parents’ determination has led to my belief in the veracious message: nothing is going to be handed to you because you must work to make something happen. As I have gotten older and realize the little time I have left sheltered by my parents, this idea has prepared me for the real world due to the fact that I know not to take anything for granted, but to work for what I want to accomplish in life.…

Hope is one part of us that cannot be abolished. Hope is compared as “…the singular gift/ we cannot destroy in ourselves” (lines 17-18). Whether you believe it or not hope exists within you and is constantly working in your life. In Jeremiah 29:11, it says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” How reassuring is it to know that God gives us hope; it is something that he places in our body when creating us. Langston Hughes says it perfectly, “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” Hughes shows dreams as something special in our minds that, if eradicated, we will not be able to survive. If we did eradicate…

My mother had always told me that I should “Do what makes me happy. Not what pays the most. Money isn’t happiness.” Growing up, my family always struggled with money. The lack of money, never really phased me as much as it would other kids my age. My mother always found ways to entertain me as a child and still to this day, my mother and I can still have a memorable time without money. She's the kind of person who has thoughtful discussions, the kind of mother who always has time for her four children, and the kind of woman who taught me to fight in what I believe in. Growing up with such a strong role model, I developed many of her enthusiasms. I not only came to love the excitement of learning simply for the sake of knowing something new, but I also came to understand the idea of giving back to the community in exchange for a new sense of life, love, and spirit. Everything that my mother has ever done has been overshadowed by the thought behind it. In her endless love of everything and everyone she is touched by, I have seen a hope and life that is truly…

Hope is a unique concept. It can lead to both good, and bad things. Hope can be for the little things, like getting the job you wanted, to someone close to you waking up from a coma. Though, it can give you something you never would want. Having hope for getting asked to prom and when the time comes, they are dancing alone, ends up crushing someone. Hope is delicate and fragile. It is confusing, yet it is the simplest thing in the world. Some learn to never have hope, and some learn to take the consequences, good and bad, for having hope.…
