Dream Vacation

Some people go thought their entire life without ever enjoying their dream vacation. I Jesse Addison have taken the ultimate vacation to enjoy an entire week in Cancun, Mexico for exciting adventures, once in a lifetime fishing trip, and sipping margaritas on the beach. It all started for me when I was about fifteen or sixteen on spring break from high school when I was at home for a week with nothing to do but watch TV. Mtv was the channel I watched the most it also covered Spring Break around the world; spring break is where all the college kids go take a break from school mainly to have the week just to party all night every night for the week that they are there. So believe it or not I’ve wanted to go on this vacation to Cancun, Mexico for about six years or so. It is know about ten years later and I’m back from the ultimate dream vacation where things went good but there were also a couple bad days. When I made the flight down the first day I arrived that morning very tired but decided to try to see the sites before going to the bar. The first thing that I came across was a tour of the Mayan Ruins which was a spur of the moment thing to do but I wasn’t going to start out the vacation taking a nap in the hotel. While on the tour I learned that the Mayan people lived in about 300 A. D. to 900 A.D. and Cancun has about forty cities discovered and about fifteen of the sites can actually be toured. These cities have huge temples or pyramids built out of sculpted limestone blocks and most of them have hieroglyph carvings of serpent, birds, and even humans. After the tour was over I had no choice but to go to the bar and have a little fun turns out that’s where I stayed the rest of the night until morning and then the rain came then more rain and just when you thought it finally was going to stop raining it would rain some more and it did stop raining for three days. I didn’t let the

But I left the window open so I got a finger in my hair. Than I have to find a sink hole like in the Simpsons to go back to my normal life. On day four we went to see Tulum historical site. It was exactly 98.1766 miles from our hotel. It was very interesting and informational as well as educational Mr. Werner would've been proud. We than went to Cancun adventure at Selvatica to take in some extreme Ziplining, bungee swing, and Centoe swim. It was an awesome adrenaline rush. I highly recommend the company we used because, they showed us an extraordinary time and only cost us $397.98. The company's name is Selvatica and they specialize in Ziplining. On day five we were bushed but we felt we could take in some shopping, so we went to the La Isla shopping center to buy some souvenirs. I spent $100 and so did Owen and we got so much cool stuff with the money. We also ate at a roadside stand, I never knew you could buy a whole cooked fish at a roadside stand but I guess it is a local delicacy. It only cost us $6 each. That night we were sad to leave. But, we will never forget our Mexico beach vacation and we can't wait to go back. For the whole entire trip it only cost us a total of…

Tulum is 25 miles southwest of Cozumel (Horngren, p.43) so our excursion started off with a long bus ride, but we had a very friendly, humorous tour guide who made it fun, and there were plenty of sights along the way. Historic Tulum holds the ruins of Mexico’s earliest civilization; Mayans (Salloum, 249). Mayans inhabited Cozumel more than 2,000 years ago (Haggins, 28). Therefore, our first stop was at a Mayan Cooperative Center where we got to see a Mayan Calendar and learn about the culture. They told us interesting facts like how the Mayans never meant to predict the end of the world with their calendar, as some people believed. We also learned that each of the coins in the Mexican Peso currency have an image from the Mayan Calendar on the back of it, and if you put the coins all together they depict the complete Mayan Calendar. It was very interesting learning about the culture of the people who built…

Returning as a teenager never seemed like a lame family holiday. With all the returning friends I had made in years previous, the activities and fun seemed endless. Tubing became a sport to us. Lounging in the sun never seemed so relaxing – with the waves licking the shores and the breeze coming off the bay. I learned how to wakeboard at Lumina; the staff spent countless years helping me stand up on the wake, and never grew tired of my mistakes. Movies in the TV room, playing cards on the deck, eating junk food in the beautifully preserved cabins. All great memories.…

There once was a time that I went to cabo San Lucas Mexico with my family. The reason that this trip was so special too was because I got to spend a whole week with my grandparents, aunts and uncles and most importantly my parents. When we first got we went to are rooms and put are thing down then went right down to the pool. I can still remember the way the pool look and felt because I got cut on one of the tiles in the pool. One there reasons I liked the pool so much is you could just sit there and watch the sun set. Then the next day I went fishing on the beach that was so cool casting out a fishing line and sitting there waiting with family there beaches are so beautiful and nice like the ones you see in TV commercials. I haven’t even got to the best part they have a little cruise called sunset cruise. You rode on a pirate ship and watch people fight and watch the sun go down. I was a lot like the movie call peter pan. This little cruise was so special because in a hurry and I got locked out of my room I forgot to wear shoes so I was without shoes that whole night. There is one restraints that you have to go to when you are there I mean they have unreal food. They have huge tacos filled with anything you want with beans, rice and a side salad. I can taste it now. I also remember the time I went with my grandparents to the beach after the sun went down with one of my uncles. You have experienced nothing until that happened I mean the sand nice and cold between your toes swimming in the ocean you feel so free and wild. That is why cabo San Lucas Mexico is so special to me. I have a lot of good memories there with my…

The children of Puerto Rico inspired me to achieve mine goals in life. I know that sounds confusing since I am not of Hispanic decent, so let me explain. The summer of sophomore year, I traveled on a mission trip to Puerto Rico with my school. I visioned the trip as a paradise vacation. However, I was wrong. Though I encountered many experiences, there is one that I will never forget. After long hours of working in the community, we ended the day by visiting a boys’ orphanage for mentally and physically disabled. Upon arrival, the kids were lined up at the gate waving and smiling at us ready to give us hugs even though they did not know us at all. While at the orphanage, a man outside was selling cakes and we decided to buy some for the boys.…

This would be my first vacation out of the country and I could hardly wait. My whole family was invited and it was going to be a great eight days and seven nights, of straight fun in the sun. A nice and enjoyable get away was much needed for everyone and this time of the year is everything I look forward to. It was going to be cold in Missouri but in Mexico the forecast looked marvelous. We get to do a vacation around November or December once a year with our whole family and it is the absolute best memories. Something about this vacation made it more cherishable to me. Lying out in a cabana by the beach, overlooking the crystal clear, blue water and feeling the cool ocean breeze run through my hair. My imagination had taken over my mind, as my mother told my sisters and me that we were going to Cancun for our very first family vacation. About ten years ago, my parents decided to take a family vacation to Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. At the time, my family was hosting an exchange student from Germany named Claudia. My grandmother was also invited to join us on our trip to Florida. When we arrived at the Indianapolis International Airport, my brother forgot one of his bags in the car. He put up a big fight about going back to get it, and he caused us to miss our flight. We had to wait four more hours for another flight down to Orlando, but we eventually made it to our destination.…
