- What is the Teaching Cycle?
- What are your roles and responsibilities in terms of the teaching cycle?
- What policies and procedures do you have to conform to and why?
- Who else do you need to work with to ensure the teaching cycle works and why?
Explaining in depth how you identify and meet the needs of learners:
- How could you identify learning needs of your learners, using at least 2 methods?
- What other entry requirements are required for learners to take part in your courses, and why?
- In terms of pre planning, how could you meet the needs of learners from this information to ensure they can begin your course?
- How does Information, advice and guidance (IAG) apply at this stage?
Explaining your responsibilities in meeting Equality and Diversity in the classroom:
- What does equality in the classroom mean to you?
- What does Diversity in the classroom mean to you?
- How can you meet your obligation to ensure equality and diversity is being met in your sessions?
Summarising key aspects of Legislation, regulatory requirements and subject sector codes of practice:
- Who is your awarding body for your subject area?
- What information can they provide you in terms of course content?
- What other pieces of legislation apply to you as a Teacher, and how do they impact on you?
- What other pieces of legislation apply to your teaching environment, and how do they impact on you?
What could potentially happen if you do not conform to legislation and Codes of Practice?
