Dr. Hickman's Argument Of Money Doesn T Work
Dr. Hickman, Luke 14:28-30 tells us, “For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? “Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.” Consequently, financial security is now more important than ever to some people, and I believe that having a comfortable amount of money reduces stress. However, I will be the first to admit that sometimes I don’t calculate the cost first. Nevertheless, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. Afterwards, I went and told my mother what I had just seen, and of course she shared my experience with our preacher. That night, my preacher called me on stage and told the congregation that God allowed me to see my guardian angel. Before this experience, I believed in God however, afterwards, that belief was cemented. Sadly, nowadays I tend to put my belief in God concerning my finances only when I have encountered a financial difficulty. Notwithstanding, I tell people all the time that God continues to bless me in all matters even when I feel that I am unworthy of them. For example, I got hurt at work about eight months ago, I was unable to work and only received a small amount of my salary while on disability. Hence, I went through my emergency fund and was facing foreclosure. Sadly, I was at my financial max on everything and I have no family to lean on in times of need. However, even though I was going through this struggle, I knew that God would send a blessing for me in the nick of time, and he did. Unfortunately, at one point or another in my life I have broken just about all of the
