Dr. Groft Character Analysis
Dr. Groft has become a critical and invaluable team member for the Child Find West office since joining the team in August of 2016. Among her greatest strengths is the passion she brings to her work and the compassion she shows to the families we encounter. One of the most difficult tasks she has is being the first person to inform a family that their child is on the autism spectrum. She handles this with skill and caring. Dr. Groft connects with families and works hard to convey information in a manner they will understand whether that means technical language or plain English. Dr. Groft is a skilled assessor who establishes rapport, administers test tasks effectively in an age-appropriate fashion, and writes thorough and informative reports.
