Will Donald Trump’s wall be as magnificent as the Great Wall of China or can Trump even achieve the construction of the his great wall? Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is a television program that covers current political news and current events with humor. In the segment, “Border Wall” (cite), Oliver discusses Donald Trump’s idea of his border wall in Mexico. With satirical support and evidence, it is questionable whether or not Trump’s wall is achievable. Considering all the reasons Trumps has decided to propose a wall versus the cost and requirements needed to build the wall, it is concluded that Trump’s wall is inefficient and will provided no useful services, but instead create problematic situations. Therefore, Oliver arguing that Trump’s great wall isn’t as competent as he makes it seem.…
Fencing is used when access to the site needs to be prevented. They can be used to prevent access to the public and the workers making them use a designated entrance to site. This will make sure the members of the public cannot wander on to the site which could be dangerous for them or the workmen. Also making the workers go in through a designated entrance would allow everyone to be signed onto the site, so the foremen are aware of everyone who is on site.…
I am very pleased that Team Trump is asking supporters for input through surveys, which are an excellent source for sharing concerns.…
Since the business did not notified the NLRB that the employees terminated were in fact illegal aliens, the issue could have been resolved at that point in time. However, it will be hard for the courts to enforce the voluntary settlement agreement that the NLRB and the business negotiated without breaking any immigration laws because the Immigration and Reform Act prohibits the hiring of illegal aliens and applies to any individual or company. If the courts order the agreement to be enforced, they are knowingly allowing the company to violate the act but on the other hand, if they do not order the agreement to be enforced, then they are essentially taking power away from the National Labor Relations Board (NRLB). If the courts order the agreement…
Policies are pivotal implementations put in place by the government on local, state, and federal levels. There are endless amounts of policies put in place by the American government, with many of these policies directly influencing the lives of citizens. As the 2016 Presidential Election draws near, understanding the policies projected by each presidential candidate is essential to making an educated decision when it comes to voting for the future condition of the United States. In looking at the two prime candidates for the upcoming election, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton propose policies and plans that are in opposition to one another. One of the policies that is receiving…
The conflict over Trump has not only affected anti-trump supporters, but also the Opinion Editor, Mark Lasswell at The Wall Street Journal. When Trump’s less gracious thoughts, ideas, and statements were to be published by the Journal to print and publish the perspective, Laswell was seen to not be on the “Trump train”. The departure follows reports of tension on the paper’s news side about how to cover up Trump. The sources, Politico and Buzzfeed are used to explain how the tension of trump is starting to reflect the views on the journalism side. According to Politico, Baker wrote “ I’m eager to talk with all of you about the challenges and opportunities for our journalism." As the author introduces this quote by explaining that journalism…
i. A significant segment of House Republicans are adamantly anti-citizenship and call the Democratic position cynical, driven by their own self-interest in getting millions of new voters for their party. For Republicans, citizenship is the sticking point. The New York Times reported that most immigrants would settle for merely legalization, and that, correctly or not, has spurred hope among Republicans.…
Ignoring the benefits that the United States would have on employing immigrants with computer science majors, it will be really devastating in the entire of history of America. Even great economists say that such under such pressurized conditions America would face significant effects. So, at the end of the day, the most vulnerable populations, the undocumented and their families, even those who have been here for many years, may be very much at risk. The business community will find it more difficult and challenging to move forward with necessary visa processes, as will their employees, but processes, procedures, and eligibility will probably remain essentially the same for the foreseeable future. Hence, employing President Donald Trump's immigration policies will not only have a negative effect not only on tech companies but on the entire United States of America.…
To protect a coast from erosion, people have built seawalls in front of a cliff or along the coast. A seawall is usually made of concrete. It acts as a buffer and absorbs energy of breaking waves especially during storms where the waves are strong, thus protecting the coast. A seawall shields and protects the coast from the direct impact of the incoming waves, thus reducing erosion. However, a seawall may not protect a coast from erosion in the long run. As waves break against the seawall, the energy from the waves is redirected downwards, to the base of the seawall, resulting in a strong backwash. The backwash erodes the beach beneath and wears away the base of the seawall, causing it to weaken and eventually collapse. Hence seawalls have to be carefully maintained. It is also expensive to build seawalls. One example is the seawall at Galveston, Texas, USA. It was built for protection of the city after the 1900 hurricane. Another example is the seawall in Vancouver, Canada. It is a stonewall that was constructed around the perimeter of Stanley Park to prevent the erosion of the park’s foreshore. It was built because the waves created by ships passing through the area were eroding the coast.…
The Great Wall stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. The most comprehensive archaeological survey, using advanced technologies, has recently concluded that the entire Great Wall, with all of its branches, stretches for 8,851.8 km (5,500.3 mi). This is made up of 6,259.6 km (3,889.5 mi) of sections of actual wall, 359.7 km (223.5 mi) of trenches and 2,232.5 km (1,387.2 mi) of natural defensive barriers such as hills and rivers.…

Actually, not only is china the country in history that built wall along its boundary. For example, The Hadrian's Wall in northern England, built "to separate the Romans from the barbarians", extended 117 kilometers. Even if other countries built amazing walls, the Great Wall of China was unique. The Great Wall was usually built with local materials, mostly earth and stones.…
You don't have a very good idea about building such a huge complex. It would be very difficult to extend your idea about a small wall construction into constructing a large building. Even if you tried to build a large building, it would collapse because you would not have the requisite knowledge about the strength of materials, testing, planning, architectural design, etc. Building a small wall and building a large building are entirely different ball games. You can use your intuition and still be successful in building a small wall, but building a large Version 2…
