Don Quijote
Don Quixote is about a man who falls in love with a fictitious woman named Lady Dulcinea del Toboso (Lady Sweetheart of Toboso). Don Quixote was a lonely man, he lived with his niece and servants, but he was lonely where it all counts- in the heart. So he read; he read books about knights and beautiful maidens. Realizing that there really is love and all is not lost he decides to go on an adventure to look for his lady. Quixote rode a horse named Rosinante, which translates into Broken Down Hag; she was named this because she was an old horse. Meanwhile, Sancho Panza, Quixote’s trusted squire, rode his precious donkey named Dapple. People from the church caught wind of these adventures. The church representative was irked due to the fact that Don Quixote was going on his adventures to search for his Lady Dulcinea. One day the priest heard of these ludacris adventures of the great and noble Don Quixote, so the priest hired his nephew to help Quixote “clear his mind,” thinking it was just a phase, and he does exactly that. Although he does it in an unconventional way, he encourages Don Quixote to go out on his travels thinking if he’s defeated or ridiculed enough this “phase” will run it’s course.
King of the Mirrors (the nephew of the priest) insulted the beauty of Lady Dulcinea del Toboso, saying her looks were nothing compared to his Queen. These words cause Quixote and the nephew to spar which leads to the nephew losing. Quixote, the greatest knight of the world, comes out on top to continue his journeys of defeating the windmill giants and searching for the beautiful Lady Dulcinea.
Rich people stumbled upon the imaginative Don Quixote and the poor Sancho Panza. The rich people were bored with their lavish lifestyle, and bored with their game of croquet, so they went in search of the great Don Quixote and his trusty squire Sancho Panza.
