Dogs are better then cats because dogs are more obedient and do more things then cats. For example, dogs can be taught to retrieve and put away items or objects of your choice. They also have a lot of excitement, they are incredible friendly if you teach them properly, and they actually do something good for you other then sitting around and being cute. Dogs need to be potty trained but so do cats need to be potty trained. Cats can have incredibly destructive habits. Dogs can too but in this case with dogs you can actually do something and teach the dogs to not rip the couch apart, or if they do then they get a punishment.
