Dog Park
Introduction
The dog ate my homework, my notes and my computer. One might think this is a lame excuse that students only give teacher, or one might think that, because this happened to you, the dog is just bad and mischievous. But let 's get to the root cause of this problem, when was the last time the dog ran and played until it couldn 't anymore? The answer to this question is probably a long a time. If the answer though is just yesterday, or earlier today, then you probably wouldn 't know anything about the dog eating your notes, homework…. or computer. An exercised dog is more behaved than the stove up in an apartment dog because he has used all the energy that he should have been able to use. A dog park is an ideal place for this energy to be spent. This allows the student to study without as great a fear of the aforementioned, not that it will prevent it, but if the dog is well exercised it is more well behaved.

Dog ownership among students is growing more and more popular. Dog ownership in general is growing more and more popular. There are 9,982 students currently enrolled at the University of West Florida (UWF). Lots of these students, not to mention the faculty, are dog owners. Statistics show that 39% of all households in the U.S. own at least one dog, and 37% of those owners own two dogs or more (U.S. Pet Ownership Statistics). This means we could assume that 39% of the students enrolled at UWF own at least one dog assuming that each student is from a different household. That means that there are 3,693 dog owners who attend UWF. While there are many students here from the same household this number did not include the 39% of dog owners who own two or more dogs, nor does it include faculty and staff here at UWF which is where we get away with still using number. With this said, most students live in an apartment, which has no yard to speak of, or in a neighbor with a very small yard. After the students leave their dogs inside or

The response is on an article by Farhad Manjoo, which published in the New York Times which explains how recently how human beings and dog’s relationship have changed to the public. The author expresses his dislike about the dog, "No, I Do Want to Pet to Pet Your Dog," is a believe against the "cultural assumption the everyone must love dogs" and he is furious because "in the last decade, dog achieved dominion over urban America. They are everywhere now, allowed in the places that used to belong exclusively to humans, and sometimes only to human adults: the office, restaurants, museums, buses, trains, malls, supermarkets, barber shops, banks, and post offices". He expresses his opinion on how he feels about the dog left in public place that is reasonable and of great concern to everyone and I believe everything that pertains dogs. Farhad maintains that he doesn't "actively despise mutts," and while being in total accord with his opinion, we do disagree with him completely here.…

Being a dog owner myself, I encourage all city officials to consider the development of dog parks for their residents. The ability to utilize a dog park in my local city has not only allowed my dog to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but it's also allowed me to enjoy the outdoors with my best friend, while creating new friends in the process. I find this type of recreation more enjoyable and healthy for all involved, as opposed to being stuck indoors trying to entertain or please a bored canine. Taking my dogs on regular trips to the dog park allows them to sleep better at night, encourages them behave well in social environments and also helps them maintain their weight and physicial appearance. I couldn't be more of an advocate for these facilities.…

As a young child my family had a dog. We loved to play with him, but noticed that we had limited yard space to play games such as fetch or even tag. We lived in a small apartment complex, and were forbidden to enter other neighbors yard. My sisters and I felt that a dog park in our town would be just enough space to play without the drama of disrubting the neighbors. In the passage, Gizmo's owner strongly believes that there should be a dog park in his town of Muscatine, Iowa. I as a previous dog owner my self believe that this would be a great idea.…

Dogs, while most are often friendly and goodnatured, are stillunpredictable creatures. Even the most well-mannered dog could hurt someone, whether it was intentional or not. In addition, many people are allergic to dogs, and allowing others to bring their dogs to work would put these people in a potentially very harmful situation. A dog in the workplace can cause even more hazards, as some domestic canines are highly excitable or will get underfoot, tripping up hapless employees and causing a ruckus that would disturb everyone within earshot.…
