If you have a personal connection to the topic of a film then not only are you more likely to be interested in it and want to go see it but it will more than likely end up being one of your favorites so you'll recommend it to friends and family and maybe when it gets released on DVD you'll rent it or even buy it. Filmmakers need to choose topics that appeal to the public because that is how they make more money. Television and movies are a part of our everyday life and therefore their relationship to culture is on that is ongoing and has a constant significant effect on one another. Many times, the media does not catch the side of the story where real people are being affected and influenced by what the society thinks and says about them. We seem to act as though we are more superior and that we are perfect and do not make mistakes. Just because some people from a certain religion make a poor choice does not mean that everyone else is that religion is bound to as well. It is the same with the Muslim people. Just because there are terrorists who hurt themselves and those around them for selfish reasons, does not mean that every other Muslim is just as destructive. I feel that people need to be more open minded and try to do research and become more educated before judging and discriminating. If for once all religions saw eye to eye and did not try to put one another down then we would live in a much peaceful world. By not becoming educated, we basically take someone else's opinion, or the medias and make it our own without looking deeper into the situation. If we just stop being selfish for just a moment, perhaps we can start again and try to live in harmony with our fellow human…

Like the propaganda the Jews had to endure due to the Nazis. The Nazis had turned and entire country against its own people through the distribution of hate in the media. The comparison of the propaganda in the U.S. and 1950s Nazi Germany hold some relation. For example when a GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump publicly says “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” a campaign press release said. This is just one example of many views of political public views of Muslims. The idea of people just like me not being able to live in the only place they’ve only know. The problem has recently grew due to the problems in the Middle East and the terrorist attacks. The media is unable to differentiate a stereotype from a heinous crime. Although many claims from the people responsible claiming to be a part of a religion to which its own people denounce. So the valid question must be asked “Why isn’t the media shedding light on the millions of people who dissociate terrorism as a part of…

The media also does influence us with our sense of reality. By using our senses, our reality is based on everything we perceive to be true. Our generation has grown up watching Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Etc. So when we watched these shows as kids, everything these characters did we started to perceive these as our social norms and we began thinking we wanted to look and act the way these characters were. This has been going on our whole life. Our sense of reality is also greatly affected by the news. All the stories we hear on the news influence our mindsets on different cultures, religion and other countries. For example, a lot of Americans do not have the greatest view on the Muslim religion due to the news deeming terrorist attacks on this culture. When in reality it is a very small subculture of people within this religion that is the cause instead of the whole…
