Don’t Trust Everyone

This was the day that both Samuel and Mary have been waiting for all their lives, the birth of their child Lilly. Samuel was so excited that he could not wait to start looking for a house. He set out looking on the internet even before Lilly was born. Mary always had to take the computer from him in fear of Samuel jumping the gun and buying some random house. Though with Mary having Lilly this night he had to really look for a good house. So remembering all the conversations he has had with Mary about their dream house.

This is what led him to start looking in Colorado, He looked through many towns but one town that really caught his attention was Cripple Creek, Colorado. This was described as a very quiet, safe, and had a lot of job opportunities that matched both Samuel’s and Mary’s specifications. He got to looking at some of the houses there and saw a very nice old farm house that was for sale about four miles outside of Cripple Creek. He took a virtual tour and was pumped to learn more about it. First Samuel had to run it by Mary once they had settled Lilly in their parent’s house.

They were now getting home from the hospital and Samuel would not be quiet about the town. So Mary had no choice but to check out the town and the house for Samuel. Samuel brought up the link of the town’s history and attractions. There was a four star rated school in the town and a very low crime rate listed. Samuel then brought up the link of the house listing and had Mary look at it. Mary at first was a little shy about it but then she seen the walk in closet and fell in love with the house right then and there.

Samuel was excited to call and ask about the house, but as soon as he was about to shut the computer down he noticed a little article about two hikers that had been reported missing around some trails that came within a couple miles of their house. Samuel was then starting to second guess this house but

The opening line of this poems sets a scene of a women, Mary, “musing on the lamp-flame” immediately a gendered stereotype can be assumed, as she is a woman, she tends to lose track of thought, getting caught up with insignificant things such as the flame, but then Warren comes and Mary is seen to function again, being pulled out of her dystopia. Here the reader is provoked to assume that Warren is violent, harsh or just unkind towards Silas, as he is told to “be kind”. Warren is seen as being submissive to his…

Trust is the very thing that everybody in this world desires, or at least should desire from one another. Who wants to have a friendship or relationship without trust? Nobody does. Without trust, there is no friendship, and without friendship, there is no love. I believe that trust is an even greater compliment than to be loved! I believe George Macdonald said it best when he stated "To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved." When I read this quote for the first time, I thought to myself, "Wow that is so true. How can you be loved if you are not trusted first?"…
