Abstract
Psychologists study individual mental functions and behaviors, including physiological and neurological processes that underlie cognitive functions and behaviors. Important concepts within the field of psychology include: perception, cognition, emotion, attention, motivation, brain functioning, personality, behavior, phenomenology, and the unconscious mind. Diversity encompasses all those differences that make us unique, including but not limited to race, color, ethnicity, language, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, gender, socio-economic status, age, and physical and mental ability.
