Distracted Driving Distracted driving is dangerous because it can kill any driver or passenger; however, steps can be taken to reduce the causes of distracted driving and the number of fatalities that result from it. There are many different distractions behind the wheel, the one most people do and it is very dangerous is texting and driving. Most of the teens that drive are using their phone while they drive like texting, talking , changing songs, or even watching videos. It is important that people don’t be on the phone while driving it can cause risk to other drivers. “2012 Consumer Reports National Research Center survey of U.S. automobile drivers between the ages of 16 and 21 about distracted driving. Nearly 50 percent admitted to talking on a cellular telephone while driving and some also said they had used text-messaging, email, or mobile device applications, yet most respondents believed these actions to be dangerous.”(Consumer Reports) We have to teach young drivers not to use their cell phone while driving the text message can wait it's not worth taking another person's life or even your own life.
It is very Important that people are well rested, and focused to get behind the wheel of a car it can be dangerous if people are not well rested it can cause a wreck by falling asleep on the road. “ The author suggests that drivers should be well rested before hitting the road and that they should avoid driving between midnight and 7 a.m. drivers should also be aware of warning signs that they are too sleepy to drive safely and avoid counting on on caffeine and other stimulants.”(Nursing) It is always important to be safe in a vehicle always wear the safety
