Abstract
Discrimination against veterans and those who serve in the reserve forces of the United States is prevalent and is attempted often for veterans returning from war, deployments, and training. Discrimination can also be found in the hiring of veterans and family members of veterans. Seven signs of discrimination against veterans in the workplace will be discussed in this paper. The laws that protect veterans and their families from discrimination will also be discussed.

Discrimination: Veterans in the Workplace For the past 12 years, America has been engaged in war with Iraq and Afghanistan. According to Paul Rieckhoff, the chief executive officer of the advocacy group Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, 2.5 million Americans have served in these wars. To date, the Veterans Administration has awarded disability to approximately 670,000 to date
