How many common misconceptions have you ever heard about Muslims recently? Today we hear thousands of people say discriminating things toward a certain race. Recently, a lot of people have been talking about Muslims and saying “all Muslims are terrorist” and if not that something along those lines. Mostly because the media that catches everyone’s eye, emphasises the relationship between some sort of attack and their race. In relation to the play ‘The Crucible’ written by Arthur Miller, the people who have the authority around the village are what influences the rest of the population to think the way that they do. First, looking at the discrimination of Muslims in the modern world. The population, not only in the United States but in other countries as well, go through extensive measure to “keep the country safe”. All these people are doing is calling out people because of the way they live/their race, what their beliefs are and what they do for a living. We always seem to double check on people who don't quite ‘look American’ or they look as though they are of a different ethnicity from what we believe is safe. The abuse of power usually is coming from officials and mass media shows that people constantly watch. They use this to their advantage in order to get people to see what they see and agree with their views on a certain topic. This topic would be terrorism, and the accusations of all muslims being terrorists. After the attacks in Paris, people with a higher social status in the media are the ones that we see leading other people to call and falsely accuse muslims of being terrorists because of the way they look. The man in this article was accused of being a terrorist, after some man had photoshopped a picture that he posted on social media, and made it seem as though he had a bomb on him. “‘Learn the difference between me being a Sikh, and a Muslim.
