Dirt Bikes Proposal
I would recommend the company start with an information system. This will help track all the important information for the company. It will also be a faster way for the employees to communicate with each other and the customers. It will increase profits and keep track of them at the same time. The company will be able to track everything from where the money is going and what needs to be cut down. It will help with un nessacary expenses. Internet tools and technology could be used to help Dirt Bike employees communicate faster and more efficient. This would have save the company money and it will also increase profits. The first tool that I would recommend would be an intranet. Intranet is a private internet for companies. It has websites like Salesforce.com that can help salesmen or women know their areas. They will also know who sold what and how much. The can see what they company’s total sales are.
For manufacturing, if a repair comes in the mechanic will be able to go to the computer and pull up the customer’s problem. If it goes through a couple employees’ hands, they will be able to know who did what and what the outcome was. They will be able to keep track of all the repairs in case it fails a quality control check.
There is also the use of e-mail. There are many applications that can help with the privacy of a company. They also can be monitored to see what is going in and out. This will help the company in case anything illegal happens the company will be protected. It will also save the company money because the employees will not be able to waste time. They will have to do what they are supposed to do. They applications include. Outlook, Lotus note, and MSN.
Instant messaging can also be another helpful tool. This will allow employees who are stuck behind a desk to communicate even faster. This will also save a lot of time. Instead of an employee getting up and

Use of a private extension of the internet and confining it to an organization is called an intranet. If the corporation was to build a companywide intranet, all aspects of the business would quickly be able to securely share any part of the organization’s information with one another. A huge benefit with an intranet is the cost-effective feature which is comprised from the utilizing a paperless environment. For example, a company can publish most of the company documents through the intranet Web pages. This saves the company money on printing documents and distributing information, duplication efforts, and documentation maintenance. Another efficient intranet communication is the use of “forms” on the intranet Web pages, such as forms for human resource needs. Payroll documents, expense report requests, and an FAQ section in regards to benefits can be posted for easy access by employees. Manufacturing and Production can also utilize an intranet to convey increased levels of products to sales and marketing so that those departments are aware of trying to move items in anticipation of new stock. As we grow older we tend to forget the memories that brought us the most happiness; looking back I would have never thought one of these memories would be the start of a new passion. It all started on my sixth birthday, my parents had brought me to the local motocross track, and this probably was a big mistake on their part. After seeing the dirt bikes flying through the air and the smell of the bikes as they had just been started, I knew this was my passion and desire to become the best motocross racer I could be. Begging for that first motorcycle everyday before my birthday. Finally the big day came, my sixth birthday, most kids would ask for a toy gun or something to play in a sand box. I decided a dirt bike was on my wishful list to mom and dad. I can remember opening up gifts inside, clothes from gram and papa, toys from family friends, and everything but that dirt bike I wanted oh so badly. Finally mom and dads gifts came, I opened them all up but wasn’t getting any hints that I had a marvelous masterpiece of machinery waiting for me somewhere, just somewhere I hoped. My parents tricked me thinking I hadn’t gotten a moms worst nightmare of a gift. But, I can tell you, It didn’t go unnoticed. After I realized opening the wrapping paper was the best thing I got to experience I made my way outside. I stepped off the deck not expecting what I was about to see; there it was, a brand new Yamaha PW 50 with all the amenities a six year old could possibly want. The bike was a pearl white that shined in the sunlight, I can remember looking at the black wheels like they were made of pure gold. The bike was just what I had been dreaming about for many, many nights. Who knew that still today, I would feel the same way receiving a new bike year after year, the experience hasn’t changed I have just learned to appreciate the endless amounts of time, and thousands of dollars my parents…

In my corporation, we use an application of instant messaging called Que. It can only be used by the employees. The advantages are that you can send someone an instant message and sometimes get an instant answer instead of sending an email or calling that person. We have counterparts in other states so it can be a cheaper way of communicating with them. The disadvantages are that it can get out of hand because it could be used for conversations unrelated to work and can be ongoing. Another disadvantage is that you can not always see what the person you sent an instant message to is doing and you might be waiting a long time for a response if that person is busy. In some instances, the person will acknowledge you by saying "just a minute" so you know that are not being ignored.…
