by students of all ages.
It is written by students for students – that is people of about the same age as you and with almost the same education, background, culture, ideas and outlook on life as you.
It is like writing to a large number of friends all at once
Personalise Replace ‘I’ with ‘We’
Share any point you have common with the readers(attitude of parents, school work, friends ….
Be interesting, remember that most of the readers are at school with you, they know the things you know- present information about a different, more interesting angle.
School magazine articles can be divided into the following different sections:
TITLE
Always give the article a title and underline it Make it interesting, from the beginning show the examiner that you know exactly what you are doing. Try to think of an effective, interesting title.Choose something opposite/contrast to the article.
An effective introduction starts with a question to involve the readers and encourages them to continue reading. Example: Are you one of the many students with exam nerves? Paragraphs should be nicely linked through transition words The points should be properly structured in your article like you do in essay writing.

During this class I have made two self- discoveries that will positively impact my career goals. Those self- discoveries has helped to mold, and shape me into a student that I have never thought I would be. Those discoveries were that I am an organized learner, because I made a study plan to help me determine when, and how I would study. Being that I have five children, I had to make sure that I had set a schedule so that my course work including study time would not affect my family time and take away from spending time with my children and fiance`. Since these are the competing priorities in my life right now learning to obtain trust and consistency in the home while I have been attending school has also improved because not only do I see my success so does my children and fiancé. Knowing that I had that support also has made it possible to do my best in school, setting the pace for them to do the same in school also, whether it be good grades, sports, etc. I know that they will continue to be good at what they do and have proven to do so time after time.…

Creating Effective Titles Standards: 9.12.2 Organization 9.9.2 Make assertions with evidence Objective: Students will understand the purpose and power of a title Students will craft titles that work to lure a reader’s attention Students will demonstrate comprehension of assigned reading Rationale: This lesson aims to move students beyond giving superficial, lackluster titles to their writing. Accordingly, this lesson can be modified to work with prose or poetry. A portion of this lesson (steps three and on,) can be used as a comprehension “test,” and the teacher can opt to have students work silently on an individual level. Conversely, the same assignment could be done in small groups.…

We discussed the in our seminar how to use the text book to critically analyze the title of the articles. You can state the title, summarize the title, or quote the title if you so desire. Please remember if you summarize, quote or paraphrase, you need to cite the author and year at the end of the referred information. For articles with more than two, you can add the “et.al” after the initial citation of all the author names.…

How could he just treat us all like we were cattle as if it was nothing? The speedometer crept up to 60 miles per hour. Didn’t he care that people everywhere were starving? How could he do this? When he was elected he promised that he would Make America Great Again. 70 miles per hour. I had to get to the rally. We needed change, we could be that change. 80 miles per hour. My thoughts were interrupted as my eyes caught the reflecting glow of red and blue lights paint the night sky behind me. Crap. I pulled over and turned off the car, ready to feed the officer behind me a great line about how my grandmother was on her death bed and wanted me and only me to be at her side. My eyes shifted and glanced to the side mirror, the officer straightened out his already tucked in uniform and smoothed his hands over his hair as he made his way from his cruiser. Great, I thought. I wonder how many reprimands this stiff is gonna write me up for. My record already had 14 points on it for picketing, 6 more and I’d be in real trouble. He knocked on the window…

My division was stationed in Normandy, France, at the time of the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944. Toward the end of August or early September, Canadian troops captured me near Dieppe.10 I was with a small group of men who were cut off from our main company and overrun by motorized Allied units. For several days we wandered around searching for our unit, until one night we strayed into a field camp of Canadian soldiers. You can well imagine the astonishment all around when we suddenly appeared in their midst. The Canadians didn’t have a guard posted. This was probably better for all because otherwise we might have exchanged gunfire. Instead, we peacefully turned over our weapons and in return received cigarettes.…

Deputy Blake held his head down. “Are you okay?” ask Captain Skillman. “Yes I’m fine, I’m just a little tired.” said Deputy Blake. “Well, we won’t be long.” said Captain Skillman. As they sat there, three men walked in, Lieutenant Crimp, Lieutenant Nectar and Sergeant Prim. Captain Skillman stood up and shook their hands. “Now we can start.” said Captain Skillman. Then six special agents walked in. “What’s going on?” ask Deputy Corde. “Gentlemen, these are FBI agents and you five have been pretty busy, we’ve had you all under surveillance and you all have been participating in illegal activities.” said Captain Skillman. “HOLD ON, WHAT IS ALL THIS?” yelled…

We reached The Dalles today. This is our last stop to Oregon city and this is going to be the most dangerous part of the whole trip. We have to take the Barlow Road around Mt. Hood. The road is very messy. There are big rocks guarding the road. Sticks and broken wagon pieces are getting stuck in the wagons. On top of that, everyone is getting sick and have no energy to move the wagon and walk up the steep hill and walking through the narrow paths are hard because we can't walk on the side to hold the wagon up. The oxen are getting too tired to walk anywhere and the other families with mules keep stopping and that makes us run behind on schedule. Many people are dying because they have worked too much and haven't gotten enough sleep. When we…
