Dinner with a Famous Person
Dinning

What famous person would you like to have dinner with? This is probably a question everyone, at least once, ran through they're heads. This is, of course, only theoretical since the majority of us don't have the necessary social standard or that person is probably already deceased, but imagination has no boundaries and, if you're really good at it you can come very close to the real thing. Thus, this being said, if i could meet three famous persons they would probably be Mitch Hedberg (deceased comedian), Audrey Tautou (actress) and, last but not least, Neil Armstrong (retired astronaut). I choose these persons minding they're achievements, my interests and likes and, of course, curiosity. Let's start off with Mitch Hedberg. Mitch was a stand up comedian born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on February 24, 1968. First time i saw him on stage was while randomly browsing the Internet and stumbling upon a few videos of him performing. Besides the enormous amount of laughs he gave me, i was drawn to his unique style like unique manner of speech, his abrupt delivery, and an unusual stage presence. His jokes ware out of the ordinary too, focusing largely on wordplay, non-sequiturs, whimsy, and object observations. Here's an example: ''I ordered a chicken sandwich but I don't think the waitress understood me because she said, "How would you like your eggs?" So I tried to answer her anyhow. I said "Incubated, and then raised, and then beheaded, and then plucked and then cut up then put onto a grill then put onto a bun, damn it's gonna take awhile. I don't have time, scrambled!" I saw a couple of interviews featuring him and I found him to be, other than funny, a very charismatic and intelligent person, a stand up comedians' main assets. His death came as a surprise to me because I knew him being in good health. This was not the cause of his death but drug toxicity, Mitch being known to take drugs, sometimes referring to that in some of his jokes. I have

I think Mitch wouldn’t have the chance to listen to Morrie if Morrie hadn’t been dying because Mitch lives on deadline – too fast is the only speed he knows, and he, as Morrie’s student way back 16 years did not keep his promise of keeping in touch because of choosing to be an commercial wealth after realizing how short life and expecting his world be an exceptional when his uncle died from pancreatic cancer, has seen him nearly dying. As Mitch says, “After the funeral, my life changed. I felt as if time were suddenly precious, water going down an open drain, and I could not move quickly enough. No more playing music at half-empty night clubs. No more writing songs in my apartment, songs that no one would hear.” This only means that he as a simple, optimistic young man has transformed into being a money-grubbing professional. It is also clear that he feels disconnected with the young man he once was at Brandeis.…

Picture a short, round, confused man, standing next to someone tall, slick, and intellectual, and you have a duo that brought laughter to numerous audiences. Together Bud Abbott and Lou Costello formed a team with great chemistry; by using their natural abilities and deep backgrounds they produced a successful career that carried on throughout three decades. Steve Allen agrees, "Only a very talented team like Abbott & Costello could have survived the transition from burlesque and vaudeville to radio to films to television to night clubs, over a period of twenty-two years" (qtd. in Costello xii).…

A lot of sadness can be hidden behind humor. It’s often said that some of the funniest and most outgoing people struggle with depression and loneliness. I remember seeing an interview around the time of Robin Williams’s death that said Robin was always putting on a show and performing for everyone, even if only a few people were around. But when it came to one on one conversation, he was always a little off and uncomfortable. For someone who lived to entertain others I’m sure there was both worse than being alone. Depression and Anxiety was something Robin struggled with for a very long time. It surely added to his suicide, but I don’t think it was the sole reason for it. Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease is really what sent Robin over…
