Different Views In The Lottery By Shirley Jackson
The short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson the characters have different views on the actual lotter. During the first calling of names old man Warner is disgusted on the fact that some people don't want to do the lottery. Mr.Warner seems to think that the lottery is a necessary part of their lives and they cannot live without it. He becomes angry and feels hatred towards the towns who have given up on this old tradition they call the lottery. Some other characters in the same town as Mr.Warner feel differently about the lottery. Tessie seems to think the opposite of Mr.Warner; She hates the lottery. For example “you didn't give him enough time to pick the paper he wanted. I saw you.” She doesn't think the lottery is fair, she seems to
