Differences Between Formative Feedback And Program Development
Formative feedback often leads to decisions about program development such as whether to modify or revise the intervention. There are three necessary steps, completing a needs assessment, conduct implementation analysis, and perform progress analysis. First there will be a complete need of assessment. A complete assessment will be done on all areas of the AMHC center where the practice should focus improvements by understanding the framework and the individual. They will operate in potential barriers and facilitators will practice change, and the possibility of implementing the intervention as initially designed. Next there will be conduct implementation analysis. It will assess discrepancies between the implementation plan and the execution of that plan. This can include assessing fidelity to the implementation strategy and the clinical …show more content…
Lastly, there will be a perform progress analysis. Monitoring progress toward implementation and improvement goals during the intervention on an on-going basis. For example, audit and feedback of clinical performance data can give providers and professional data on key process and patient outcome indicators that can be used to refine the intervention during implementation. This information may also be used as positive reinforcement for high performers and as encouragement for low performers. Intervention impacts can then be estimated by comparing the outcomes of intervention practices with those of a comparison group to determine whether the intervention is having the intended effects on quality, cost, and patient and provider experience.
