Differences Between Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is currently in theaters. Fans of the Harry Potter franchise are now enjoying the wizarding American world. There are some major differences between the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter, but there is one detail that stands out.

This is a mandatory spoiler alert for those who have not seen Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! In the Harry Potter Films, the only emphasis on non-magical people (Muggles) is found in Hermione (Emma Watson). She suffers the prejudice of being a half-blood but her struggles only makes her stronger.

No-maj Important to Storyline

When it comes to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, non-magical people (No-maj) plays a big part in the movie. The prejudice against witches are known but not given attention. The Salem Witch trials still burn in the memories of some people, regardless of the time.

Fogler plays Jacob Kowalski, a No-maj who falls inlove with a witch, Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol). They are quite an odd couple, the kind that is forbidden by magical law.

This is a test of true love against all odds. Queenie finally finds herself someone she sees spending her time (or the rest of her life with). And it is obvious that Jacob has the hots for her. And this is a completely different take in the J.K Rowling literatures.

In Harry Potter, Hermione still has the opportunity to enroll in Hogwarts. And the law is quite loose. In America, the law is strict as a board when it comes to inter-breeding.

Queenie and Jacob Heavy Flirting Scenes

Clearly, both Queenie and Jacob play an important part in the progress of the saga. For they may just break the law into submission when it comes to true

There are many different changes between the movie “Fahrenheit 451” and the book. The movie had very little similarities to the book. Most of the differences had a big influence on the story and completely changed it. One of the major changes in the movie was that Faber wasn’t in it. Faber played a very important role in Montag's life. He helped Montag with his development and made him understand books more. He helped make Montag think for himself. Clarisse took over the role of Faber in the movie, but she didn’t help him as much as Faber did in the book. Faber also played a big role in helping Montag with his plan with overthrowing the firemen, but in the movie he didn’t overthrow them.…

During the late fifteenth through the seventeenth centuries, thousands of individuals were persecuted as witches. It was thought that these individuals practiced black magic and performed evil deeds, the deeds of the devil. This all happened during a time of great change in Europe, during the time of the Protestant Reformation, the Catholic Reformation, the Scientific Revolution, and the consolidation of national governments. They were persecuted for a variety of reasons, but three major ones were religious reasons, social prejudices, and the economic greed of the people. Religious leaders such as Martin Luther and John Calvin influenced the ideas of their followers. Religion dominated the time period and it’s easy to see how many opinions were shaped by the religion. Socially it is quite evident that the Europeans held many prejudices, mainly against older women. They were not loved in society so they were tried as witches when something bad would happen involving them. Also, people used the idea of witchcraft as a means for economic gains. When someone was tried and killed, their money, goods or wares, and all their belongings were taken, usually by the accuser. Some saw this as a way to increase their personal wealth.…

In Europe, the 1700’s was a different time than present day America in which Marie Le Prince de Beaumont’s and Disney’s version of the text of Beauty and the Beast was written and made. To begin with, Europe in the 1700’s was very religion based, meaning that God always came first no matter the situation and has been a dominant thought in shaping the future for Europe. The order of priorities in that time in Europe was God, the Monarchy or royal family, and then comes the rest of a person’s priorities. A monarchy always has a royal family in which there is a king or queen, princes and princesses and they do little to no work while the poor did all the work. In preset day in America, there are no monarchies in a democracy and the harder a person works in life then the better off that person will be in succeeding.…

The two strongest female characters, amazon warrior Hippolyta and fairy queen Titania, conform to being oppressed in the play by their lovers and their comedy is centred around this theme. After Oberon's spell that forces her to fall in love with Bottom, Titania is humiliated claiming 'O, how mine eyes do loathe his visage now!' showing that the topsy turvy humour in a queen kissing a donkey, is only able to be expressed by showing the settled dominance of man's social existence.…

Mark Zusak’s novel, The Book Thief, was better than the film, as it dives deeper into the various perspectives and personalities of the characters. It builds up the character of Max, and the minor characters (such as the Holtzapfel family) build up the story. By reading this story, you learn about the themes of mortality and the power of words which aren’t as present in the film.…
