Differences Between Basketball And Basketball
Analogies are successful tools to utilize throughout any individual’s writing career and can highlight and accentuate any type of essay to relay an important step towards or idea in a thesis. Analogies allow for the reader and the audience to understand the key concept behind comparing and contrasting two different and opposing ideas that essentially have some relation towards a specific goal or object. Essays are compulsory to any type of post-secondary education and without understanding the basics of constructing a persuasive essay, this can lead towards failure to comprehend any sort of thesis or argument possessed in the academic paper. Writing an essay is fairly similar to learning how to properly cook, playing a game of basketball and …show more content…
Basketball can be broken down to many differing topics, such as free-throws, three points, layups, to even specific defensive positions, such as zone defense. Writing can further be broken down to different sub-categories, such as voice, tone, plot, to even diction; all of which further contributes to the overall essay. When incorporating these aspects, this allows the reader to properly construct a successful essay; as for basketball players with incorporating numerous plays and strategies to assist with winning a game. With the differing plays and strategies, incorporating all aspects allow for the essay to flow smoothly; similar to playing in a competitive match in basketball. Basketball requires consistency in shooting as well; along with practice to further skill. Without consistency, players miss the goal and basket, literally and figuratively. Consistency in writing an essay is vital towards proving the overall thesis of the essay; and along with practicing with literary devices to amplify a students’ personal skill towards writing. Mentally, in both practices, the individual must be cleared of any distraction, in order to stay focused on the main goal. Students’ cannot successfully write an essay with distractions, to even essays due to the fact that blocked concentration can affect the free flowing of thoughts inside a students’ mind. Similar to basketball, without fully tuning into the game can block the players’ potential towards scoring, to even executing a game properly. Understanding basketball and learning how to play successfully takes time and practice; including on how to write essays. Constant effort and practice is vital towards increasing your ability and skill, although this is entirely true, reminding yourself to take a break to collect your thoughts or to rest is completely fine; while writing an
