Did Rome Fall or Was It Pushed?

There are many theories as to why Rome fell, but none of these have one chief explanation. I believe public health, barbarian invasions, military spending, inflation, and religion were the most important factors that caused the Roman empire to plummet.

The Roman Empire had numerous environmental and public health issues. The lead utensils and pipes caused lead poisoning of the aristocracy. This was the root of the lowering birth-rate and intelligence level of the empire. Plagues and sickness also made a decline in population. Disease was commonly spread at the Colosseum where blood and death was present.

    The fall of Rome was caused by many different internal and external reasons. One internal reason the Roman Empire fell was because of the weakening economy and inflation. In the text it says “Desperate for revenue, the government raised taxes, It also started minting coins that contained less and less silver.” By doing this the government made a huge mistake.     In the first place one of the main reasons to the fall of the Roman empire was the econmoy started to decline. In the thirst century sources started to dissapear.
