The second step a company can take is utilizing data entry controls, which is performing several checks to ensure that the information is correct, one example would be a field check where the individual will determine whether the characters in a field are of the proper type (e.g. if you are expecting a zip code and you do not have numeric characters, there would obviously be an issue) (Romney, & Steinbart, 2012).…

Truman Capote’s, “A Diamond Guitar”, is a mellow dramatic depiction of two people who fell into each other’s lives, needed each other, and who inevitably used one another. Throughout the story you are led to believe that there is two main protagonist characters, but the author discretely turns one of them into an antagonist during the climax. Mr. Schaeffer is an older man, trapped in a “prison” on a farm that is surrounded by woods. The prison being a metaphor for his mind’s lack of freedom, serves as a vivid image, making it easier to visualize the story. As Tico and Mr. Schaeffer were attempting to escape, Mr. Schaeffer tripped and fell, leaving Tico hovering over him for a few seconds. Tico managed to escape, but Mr. Schaeffer did not. Although Tico was made to be the antagonist in the story, he wasn’t all that fallacious. He did not leave Mr. Schaeffer empty handed; instead he left him with something that gave him the gift of happiness, his diamond guitar. And although Tico left his friend, he must’ve known somewhere that Mr. Schaeffer would now never be alone. “Its glass diamonds are turning yellow; in the night his hand (Mr. Schaeffer) sometimes searches it out, and his fingers drift across the strings; then, the world.”…

The final scene of Truman Capote’s “A Diamond Guitar” helps the reader develop a perfect view of how the characters in the story truly are. Mr. Schaeffer, a man of 50, is in prison because he killed a man, and Tico Feo, a boy of only 18, is there because he cut a sailor’s ear off. From details throughout the story you can tell that each man has done this for a different reason, but I would not say that either are bad men. Mr. Schaeffer is claimed to have only done one really bad thing in his life and that is killing a man, but only because he “deserved to die” (pg. 142). Tico Feo, on the other hand, did his crime for a completely different reason. Not much contextual evidence is given to why Tico Feo committed his crime, but based on his reaction to another confrontation in which he stole a comb from another inmate and “replied by spitting in his face” (pg. 147), teenage angst may be the only thing that drove him to do so.…

Shining bright with a glow never witnessed before, this mouth dropping gold 2-piece karat was going to be taken on an adventure I have never seen before. I was scanning over shirts for back to school shopping. Just like every year, not a single T-shirt caught my eye, but what did grasp my attention was an African American teenage male. With hair as puffy as a cat that had just gotten struck by lightning, I could not help but peer over at him. He had a long slender body with legs that could easily have been mistaken for twigs. The mischievous look on his face gave me a hunch that he was up to something. As I continue glancing in his direction, I notice him creep over to the magnificent piece of jewelry. Covered by glass, the gold earring was lying on delicate pearl colored pillow. The karat reflected off the glass, giving it a glisten that could be seen for miles. Searching around he checked to his left, checked to his right. He cranked his neck one extra time, only to scan across an overweight security guard, snoozing like a baby. One little smile was all I needed to see, to understand what was going to happen in the next moment.…
