Said in the article, “Studying For Finals? Let Classical Music Help You” by USC, clarifies that the mood and tone of the music can influence many things. The article states that classical music will help you learn. In my opinion, rap and pop music influence my learning in positive ways while classical and indie music can slow down my learning process and it allows myself to get off topic. In the article by the University of Southern California, in paragraph fourteen it states “Children who listen to classical one hour a day for six months are more relaxed.” I am a very relaxed child and I never listen to classical music. Music for sure helps me study and focus in class, it just depends on what kind of music the teacher is playing. It is really beneficial when teachers allow us as students to choose music off of our devices. Then we have our own personal opinion on what music helps…

It sometimes feels like I’m in a movie and about to discover something important to the storyline, and it really helps me work faster and more efficiently. It motivates me to keep working when I want to take a break or take a nap. Most of the time, I am not very motivated to work or study, so when I listen to music, I feel more motivated than when I listen to more classical music. With a more upbeat tempo, I tend to work faster, and concentrate more so I can be as efficient as possible. Music with lyrics is distracting when you are trying to study. It takes attention away from the work you are supposed to be doing. Whenever I am listening to music with lyrics, I get confused about the words and letters fumbling around in my head. I get my ideas and the lyrics all mixed up, and I sometimes end up writing down the lyrics instead of doing work. This makes everything confusing, because then I forget the ideas I was thinking at the time. I also make a lot more grammatical and spelling mistakes. Then it takes longer to complete the work, because I have to go back and fix them. Music with lyrics also distract from studying. Lyrics also work against you when you are trying to learn things or remember…

Classical music improves a student’s relaxation and focus. Studying with music can relax both a student’s muscles and mind. Furthermore, listening to classical music masks fatigue, relieving students from lack of energy (Paget 5). As a result, many students use music as a tool to increase their productivity. During class, teachers could consider plating music while their students are working. Listening to classical music also helps focus in the classroom: It “can effectively eliminate fatigue… caused by monotonous work” (“How” 4). The newfound motivation results in students who are far more focused. If students are particularly stultified while working in class, teachers could use music as a tool to spark an interest in their work. Students, as a result of listening to classical music, work harder and more efficiently, while continuing to enjoy their classwork.…

In the following paper, my goal was to research the positive and negative effects of college students listening to music while studying. In order to do this I interviewed four different Quincy University students to receive evidence to support my hypothesis that college students that listen to music while studying, will not be as stressed and they will be able to work more effectively. Even though I found three out of the four interviewee’s did not like to listen to music while studying or doing homework because it caused a distraction. I did find one who found listening to music while studying helpful. These results allowed me to conclude that my hypothesis was wrong, listening to music while studying does not help college students work more efficiently or make them less stressed.…

Could jamming to your favorite tunes actually be a benefit while working on a research paper in Chemistry class? Might Drake’s latest album, HYFR, be the key to your success in the future? As a matter of fact, recent findings from The Center for New Discoveries in Learning, music improves one’s learning potential by blocking out any external aberrations occurring within the world behind the student, and focuses him or her on concentration! In my opinion, it increases focus among students making an outline for the upcoming chapter exam about the Mole in Chemistry, and finally, it is the only way some students can actually find amusement while being in school and taking notes. Now the decision is on you, should music be banned? Because, and I think I speak for about maybe, 99% of students my age, I reckon it shouldn’t!…

Listening to music can have a relaxing effect on our minds and bodies, especially slow, quiet classical music. However, the genre of music to listen when stressed can vary from one person to another. So we can decide what we like and what is suitable for each mood. While listening to upbeat, cheerful, and bright music can lift the spirit and make us optimistic and positive. Knowing that the effect of stress will also affect the level of productivity, so it works to prevent this reduction by repairing the emotion itself.…
