Raw Data from Sample..........................……....................................….…7 Hypothesis Test.....................................................................................8

I followed my plan. There were more than 100 sample options since more than 350 active PDGA members are assembled together at the annual Disc Golf World Championship. I observed 100 players records from sign up. The numbers are more even across brands than I had predicted. The way that Innova markets I assumed they held a larger percent of loyalties from golfers. Also I was shocked to see the little player in the disc golf world Gateway to share a balanced load of the market. The data was not as I expected. There are actually more Discraft players than I would have hypothesized. I did a sample of 100 golfers signing up for the Disc Golf World Championship in Kansas City. Go to www.PDGA.com and click on the Disc Golf world link to see more on the companies and live Golf coverage. Out of my 100 people sample 37 said they throw Discraft and 33 claims Innova. I was shocked to see 30 throw Gateway plastic. I was unaware the market was so tight in percentages. The Null Hypothesis Discraft has claimed that they have 40% of the market. The alternative hypothesis is that Discraft does not have 40% of the market. The Null is Discraft 's claim that 40% of throwers carry their brand. My decision from the hypothesis test was to not reject the null hypothesis since the test value falls outside the critical region. From the test value and my decision there is not enough evidence to over turn Discraft 's claim that

The null hypothesis was that the population proportion of potential customers preferring product 1 was 0.50 and the alternative hypothesis was that it was not equal to 0.50. the p-value for the test was 0.22. the article suggested that, in some cases, this should be enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis.…

From a 2012 sample, Boos Allen has profiled the new average annual household income to be $124,450 with a population standard deviation unchanged at $30,000. To determine if this hypothesis is valid, using the α value of 0.05, the following steps are taken:…
