INTRODUCTION:
A social networking is an online service, platform, or site that focuses on facilitating the building of social networks or social relations among people who, for example, share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections. Most social network services are web-based and provide means for users to interact over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Online community services are sometimes considered as a social network service, though in a broader sense, social network service usually means an individual-centered service where as online community services are group-centered. Social networking sites allow users to share ideas, activities, events, and interests within their individual networks.
EFFECTS OF SOCIAL NETWORKING TOWARDS CLASS PERFORMANCE OF THE STUDENTS OF NOTRE DAME OF DADIANGAS UNIVERSITY

Statement of the Problem
This study aims to determine the effects of Social Networking towards the Class Performance of the students of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University.
Specifically this study seeks the answers of the following question: 1. What Social Networking site do the NDDU students used in terms of: a. Myspace b. Facebook c. Flickr d. Twitter 2. How frequent do the NDDU students engage in the Social Networking? 3. What is the class performance of the students of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University for the First Preliminary Period? 4. What are the effects of social networking towards the Class Performance of the students of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University for First Preliminary Period?
Scope and Delimitation
The study is delimited only to the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University Students inside and outside the school campus. The study will determine the different effect of social networking towards the class performance of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University students.
