Thursday, September 15th, 2016 at approximately 8:29 a.m., I Detective L. Donegain and Detective D. Johnson conducted a noncustodial interview of Devin McCall (white, male 4/20/1986 of 1201 Southwood Drive, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28304). The interview was audio recorded and is contained in the case file. The following is a summary of Devin McCall’s interview:
- Devin McCall stated he woke up to gunfire and hit the floor.
- Devin McCall stated they were shooting earlier in the evening.
- Devin McCall stated after the gunfire he could someone calling for help.
- Devin McCall stated he never looked outside front.

    In 2003, the city of Bridgeport, CT was in for a big shock. The fourth largest city in the state of Connecticut just had its mayor, Joe Ganim, convicted of several crimes. He was considered a local hero, a man who helped raise the city out of poverty. Ganim decided to run for Mayor of Bridgeport in 1991, and ended up winning. According to Johnson, when Ganim was running in 1991, the city was in shambles; it had its financing being overseen by a state board, and the crime rate was on the rise (1991).
