Destiny Is in Your Own Hands
The saying “you control your own destiny” applies to the everyday life of us all. The way you act will determine the actions of the people around you, who you are as a person, and what you chose to get out of life. Equally important, the decisions you make will affect you in both positive and negative ways. Depending on the overall outcome, your reaction to the decision will be your destiny. Destiny is your life and the process as we know is very repetitive.

My destiny lies in my own hands. Everything I’ve come to learn came from my past experiences. For instance there’s my intelligence, values, and morals. If I didn’t want to learn these things, I wouldn’t have. I know that if I have a negative attitude about a situation, a negative outcome will come about and the same goes for positive situations. I believe that if you have a dream for your destiny you can easily make it come true. Having confidence in you is just the first step.

However, some people like to think that fate plays a role in your destiny. As goes the saying “it’s meant to be”. I don’t disagree but think it’s merely just an excuse for the things in life that are unexplainable. We cannot control every part of our lives, no, but we can make changes to enhance it or make it to our liking. Having a positive attitude will withstand a positive outcome for your destiny. Make your life what you want it to be and the rest should fall right into place.

Life is far too short to live unimpeded. There was a day when I wasn’t feeling to good with myself. Last night was my last volleyball game and my insensible Dad didn’t show up like he said it was going to. I was exceptionally upset because not only did he miss this game, he missed every single one of them. I walked in school with bitter looks along with a horrible attitude and didn’t understand why no one cared or had some advice for me. Then, I took the time to sit down and look at the situation in their perspective. If Ias dealing with another person

People say that fate is unavoidable, but, through my personal experiences, it has come to my realization that one’s fate is in their own hands. A person’s actions determine their fate, which is why I believe that life is essentially defined by a person’s free will. An instance in my life, when my fate was being defined by my actions was when I moved from Jersey City to Erie. Since I did not approve of this move, my thoughts made me believe that what was about to happen was just life being unfair, in other words, my fate. Now I have come to understand that this move could have been avoidable; I was given a chance to stay, if only I would have improved my grades and gotten into the high school that my parents wished for me to go to. Alas, I did not take that situation seriously, and I paid the consequences by having to leave my…

When it comes to fate, there are two types of people. Those who believe it and those who don’t. The definition of fate, is the development of events beyond a person’s control; be destined to happen, to turn out, or act in a particular way. We see this definition put to use in both, “Oedipus the King”, and “Romeo and Juliet”. Is fate a real thing though? Or is it something we just see in books. Do we have control over everything that happens to us? Or is our life in the hands of “fate”. Everyone has their own opinion of whether fate is real or not.…
