Descriptive Writing Beach
Days like this when my body craved the shore. The waves lapped against the shoreline creating an intricate pattern along the smooth, off white sand. The sun shone off the rippling water, its golden light warped and distorted in the azure, glassy waves. Big, soft, puffy clouds floated over the blue skies making irregular shapes. The sight of the sky gave me a warm feeling inside. My troubles, my worries and my concerns, everything was momentarily forgotten as I looked out into the swaying great Australia sea. As I walked along the boardwalk, the bottle in hand glistened off the sun. I could hear the bright blue waves crashing onto the sand. The sun continued blazing, I could hardly open my eyes, the zinced skin on my face slowly burnt and the …show more content…
Sitting down and enjoying the tranquil setting around them and not having one thought of significance. I watch with fascination at families playing and swimming in the exhilarating water as I too crave join in. Above me the sea gulls saw, hovered and circled around me, diving occasionally, into the water catching the unsuspecting fishes. In the distance I could sense the rhythmic waves murmuring, thumping, and crashing; competing with the sounds of the seagulls. The cloudless blue sky surrounded a peaceful atmosphere at the beach. The baby waves nipped playfully at my toes, tempting, teasing and alluring me to enter the serene, expanse of inviting water. Waves of a deep sapphire blue crept towards me before running away yet again, only to repeat the process in a cycle that causes droplets of salty water to spray onto my bare, sand encrusted feet. I took a minute to acknowledge the beautiful sunset. Smudges of coral, topaz, turquoise and fiery orange blended together to create a sight so astounding it swept me away from the day. As my thoughts ceased, the golden rays glazed my skin and a warm feeling of safety and security overwhelmed me as the sun dipped down below the

It was nearly sunset and I was relaxing along the soothing beach in Capitola, California. My brother and sister were assembling sand and shells to make a colossal sand city while my parents were in two chairs chatting. As I was ambling down the oceanfront my feet would feel the chilly waves and I could sense the gentle wind blowing my way. I was reminiscing about the exciting activities previously that day, including swimming through the waves, body surfing, and passing around a volleyball with my brother.…

The grounds were covered in long, swaying grass mixed in with dazzling, colorful wildflowers. The wind caused everything to dance in unison, creating a soft whoosh for the ears. In front of me the waves crashed violently against the jagged rocks. Although it looked rough, it was breathtaking and I never grew tired of it. Turning my attention to the waves crashing against the sharp rocks on the shore, I inhaled slowly.…

When I walking along to the shore line of a beach, I would do everything possible to hear the sound the waves and the seagull noise. The ocean as seagulls’ nurture on the sea. My mind was overwhelmed by the drastic change in surroundings I was experiencing. My delicate lips were being run-down by the dry and overwhelming heat of California. The sun was also constantly beating against my skin which gave it an amazing tan. Even though I was used to heat, I was not accustomed to such dry conditions that California had set for me. Yet the view that my eyes glazed upon was something I have never witnessed before. The clashing of the midnight blue waves against the grainy sand and the velvet sun…

Immediately upon arrival I headed to the beach and buried my feet in the gleaming hot white sand. I stood on the edge of this breathtaking tropical island and saw water so blue, that it more resembled liquid sapphire. The ocean's salt stained breeze kissed my skin only enough to askew my hair and soften the mandarin orange suns heat. The ocean was like a cool rejuvenating enveloping blanket. Staggered black jetties stretched like fingers into the deep blue water offering the gulls something to bask in the sun on.…

Through the eyes of the young girl the beach is a blissful place. There are miles upon miles of golden sand sparkling by the blazing sun. As she stands adjacent to the ocean, warm sand squishes between her toes with every wave of indigo water. The wind rushes gently toward the shore. In between each breeze, a hint of golden sunshine hits her skin. Standing by the ocean, waves roll in over her toes. Her feet sink deeper and deeper into the sand, and she feels the cold bubbles beneath her toes. The smell of salt consumes her, as the mist from ripping water hits her rosy red cheeks. She decided to build a sand castle and watch channels fill with water. Here she can feel the wind from the coast rush through her long brown curls. As she steps past the seaweed into the water, rough waves push her down like the inside of a washing machine. She decides to take a stroll down the beach to explore the rocks in the distance.…

As we approach the beach, the first thing I notice is the sky. As I look into the cloudless, cerulean blue sky and see the flawlessness of life; in the distance, rolling clear-blue waves crash into each other with such force as that of football players. The sky is breathtaking along with the sounds of the waves and the tide washing onto the shore. The water reminds me of crystals shimmering in the water with the sun reflecting off of it. As the sun sets, the sky turns into a pink hue with a bright orange sun going down into the horizon.…

As we walked along the sidewalk that ran parallel to the beach we stumbled into a long wooden set of stairs. Their old and decomposed appearance was accented with winding ivy that consumed the handrail. With just a glance, no words, we decided to venture up it. Holding his hand we walked step and step. The beach was quiet, not a single person was in sight this far down along the shore. The sun was setting slowly casting its yellow orange glow along the water, leaving pink and purple watercolor skies in its place.…

The sand looked clean like sugar spread out for miles, As it squished between our toes and made our claves ache with every step. I found it some what amusing to see the sand castles that still remained, The lucky few that made it through rambunctious little boys play. It was dark outside and stars floated in the distance, But the moon seemed so close we could grab it and take it in our pocket to keep for ourselves. Ghost crabs darted past our feet like thieves in the night, going in one hole and out another. The beach house had long vanished in the night, but neither of us even noticed. We could hear music lurking in the air coming from the boardwalk bands we had seen previously tonight. Waves crashed quietly against the shore causing slight pieces of sea shell to dwell on the damp surface of the beach. Travis and I both ran from the waves like two children playing tag on a kindergarten recess field. That game lasted a good thirty minutes, and after he splashed me with the salty sea water I decided it was time to stop. The warm air was moist and humid causing my hair to frizz like a poodle, but Travis told me I looked amazing as always. I found that hard to believe because I knew my hair swelled with every minute we were gone. We had been away for hours taking in every element of the beach, collecting sea shells and counting the stars as if we had no care in the world. It was getting late and I knew my parents would get worried if we didn’t turn around soon.…

The sea is breathtaking as the golden sun slowly disappears into the horizon. The now calm water sparkles brightly and the warm light gradually decreases, making the illuminated parts stand out. The air smells of salt even from the height and the temperature drops quickly. The sunset is a beautiful moment, the clouds lighting up as though on fire. The trees sway in the refreshing breeze even the birds fly to the nests, cawing softly to bid their friends goodnight. The red light of the evening sky is visible until the sun is completely gone from the picture.…

As I walk down the narrow, brown, rickety bridge that leads to the ocean my heart begins to race in anticipation of reaching the fascinating sight. I’m suddenly surrounded by sand that is white and pure as snow. I walk at a turtle’s speed absorbing this overwhelming beauty that encircles me. The sky is the brightest blue I’ve ever seen, so bright that it almost seems as if it is from an animated movie and not real life itself. Fluffy clumps of clouds that were covering the sky before slowly fade away into thin air and the crystal clear waves sparkle like diamonds. The water is never-ending. I see heaps of seagulls flying around the sky, white and grey and full of spirit. As a gust of wind runs through my long, dark, brown hair I look to the right to see two elegant dolphins leap from the deep blue sea and dive back in as if saying hello to the gorgeous, heavenly day.…

We decided to spend our first days on a cozy seacoast and take a rest from a tiresome trip. The weather was wonderful. The sun was shining and the water was so warm, placid and limpid that we could see our shadows in it. I had the impression nothing else existed in this world besides us, nor the cares of everyday life nor urban fuss. We were enjoying every minute of our rest, slowly sipping a coconut milk through a tube straight out of a coconut. The days were changing from one another with new, bright, unforgettable emotions and impressions.…

As I lay down onto the tiny golden grains of sand, I looked up at the opal sky cut with streaks of pink and orange and purple, resembling the colours of a perfectly ripened peach. Its been few hours we’ve set off by bus from the hustle bustle of the city. The journey ahead us, lushes of green tropical forests pervaded my sight. As minutes tickled by, the sun, a fiery orb, looks like its gradually receding the horizon. The sky consists an assortment of shades, a blend of reds, oranges and yellows. The warm rays gradually glow, tinting the trees below vermillion. The mud below my feet is of the same colour, making me feel like a firewalker. Daring and bold. The contrast between the luminous sky and the ocean nearby makes the horizon look like a meeting of two worlds. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and this gives me an immediate boost of excitement to the trip.…
