Descriptive Essay: Universal Studio Vacation
I have many places that I really like; for example, going camping at Big Bear in the summer, the beach, the mall, and theme parks, but my number one place I like so much and never get tired of going there is Universal Studios Hollywood. Many people might think that Universal Studios is not a really good place to call it ‘a favorite place’ for they have only a mammoth of rides and large size of entertainment shows. I do not just like Universal Studios for their rides but also for their shows and their architect around the park.

Universal Studios have seven rides at their park and I like all seven of them but if I can pick out of all seven rides that are my favorite I have to say three. This ride is called ‘Revenge of the Mummy’ that is based

Yes, the Studio Tour might count as a ride to some people but it’s really not. For me I love everything about the Studio Tour but I have three things I really love when I go. One of the things I like is the Earthquake attraction of an 8.3 earthquake inside a soundstage where we look like we are in an underground subway station in San Francisco. Its feel like we are in a real earthquake where they shake the tram really hard. They also have the burning gasoline truck that collapse through the roof where you can see the street behind it, fire and spark effects everywhere, a derailing subway train come right at us, and flood of water. This attraction was featured in a small number of films and television shows: The Great Los Angeles Earthquake (1990), Beverly Hills Cop III (1993) , Seaquest DSV (1991), and Bones(2009). The next entertainment show was really hard to pick out of my really favorite attraction, but I have to say the Fast & Furious- Supercharged would come in second place. This attraction is based on The Fast and the Furious film where we have to escape from Owen Shaw (Wisteria Lane) with the help from Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Leticia "Letty" Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson). The Fast & Furious attraction makes us feel like we are being chase outside into the freeway if Los Angeles where we are getting shot at by guns and RPGs. The last ride that I would keep getting on is one of the top attractions that everybody has to get on before leaving the park is called King Kong: 360 3-D. In this attraction we are going back to where it all started to Skull Island. They have the stage dressed as recreation of Skull Island and also smell like we are in the middle of the woods. This attraction has us really felling like we are really there and

Some people come from out of state to enjoy the theme park in spring and summer break. It is a fun place because there are many things to do even though it is less rides. I still love all the roller coasters and my favorite roller coaster is the Alpengist. Lines can be long, but never disappoints me at all. Amazing roller coasters their I like most of them. They have roller coasters for adults and young children. They also have wolves, goats and a dog it is kind of cool because they are very shy and curious. During the summer time, they have fireworks. This is the best feature in the park. Everyone also enjoys the Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town. I've never been to the Christmas town, but I heard it is nice. In December, Christmas lights are placed on the rides as décor. I really enjoy seeing penguins and having fun visiting all the different…

The shows that we went to see were really awesome! We saw a 3D mickey musical show and Donald went through the wall at the end. The Country Bears show had a lot of funny songs. There was also a show with mechanical tropical birds, whowhich talked and sang. At the end of the show, they did this magic trick where they made people disappear. I really liked the shows because I laughed a lot and heard some new songs.…

My fondest of a Disney park was a 2005 trip to Disneyworld with my wife and young daughter. During our stay we visited the parts of the park my daughter prefered at the time, which was mainly princesses and fairy tales. One of her favorite rides in the park was called “it’s a small world”, which is a boat ride consisting of models of little islands, boats, and little figures. She also loved seeing all the princesses and visiting them. Personally, I like all of the roller coasters and thrill. Overall we had an amazing stay and a pleasant experience.…

“If you can dream it, you can do it.” This is a direct quotation from a man whose life’s work has carried on showing this is true. Walt Disney is an international icon who is widely known for his creation of the theme parks Disneyland and Disneyworld. While he proposed for many of the same concepts and themes to be embedded into both parks, there are just as many differences as there are similarities. Both were built with the intention to ignite the dream in all of us, but differ when it comes to things like history, location, and attractions.…

We will start at the very first park that was open to the public and that was Magic Kingdom. The main icon in Magical Kingdom is Cinderella Castle. This castle has always been so beautiful ever since I first saw it. There are many attractions as you stroll through Magic Kingdom. You can visit Main street where they offer shopping and dining. You can then head over to Fantasyland to meet the princesses and to visit their castles, you can also head over to Tomorrow-land where you're able to ride my two favorite rides Space Mountain, and into the future.…

March 29, 2007, spring was in its infancy as my family and I traveled to Orlando, Florida for the first time. My parents had been planning for months, working discreetly to conjure up an unforgettable memory for both my brother and me. Everything was ready as they piled us into my dad’s Ford F 150 at three o'clock in the morning. However, my brother and I remained oblivious to their shenanigans as they declined to mention it to us. We spent twelve hours riding in pitch darkness until daylight arose around six in the morning.…

Los Angeles is world-renowned for its posh homes, glamorous living, and long list of celebrity residents. With such a large local pool of talent, it is no wonder that California's primer entertainment city is home to so many incredible cultural attractions. In fact, there are more museums and theatres in L.A. than in any other U.S. city. In the face of so many artistic and cultural offerings, it is easy to become overwhelmed with the expansive city's arts and culture scene. Luckily, we have taken the guesswork out of which attractions are must-sees in L.A.'s by distilling an immense list into the seven essential(on my opinion) artistic and cultural sites to see while visiting Los Angeles.…

I was exposed to Crossfit while I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany. Most people take a look at a posted workout or video, of elite Crossfit athletes and get intimidated or scared. They shouldn’t! The workouts that get posted to these sites are made for the more advanced, elite athletes. Crossfit is a new idea and like all new things, you either love it or you hate it. However, Crossfit brings something new to the table which is why many believe it is the better way of life and physical fitness. First, we will look at who started Crossfit and what it means. Then I will describe what the community is and lastly we will talk about competitions.…

I have always been weirdly amused by carnivals. It’s interesting to watch all of the eagerly excited young kids waiting in line for their favorite rides and for their favorite foods. It reminds me of when I was little. Still to this day, an amusement park gives me a rush that I can’t receive from anywhere else. It’s the excitement and the thrill that makes me want to come back for more.…

When I think of Disney World I see it as this monument that has a place in all childhood memories. These memories include a lot of happiness and most importantly, fun with the family. After all of the time that I took trips to Disney, I can still clearly see the smiling children gushing over their favorite Disney characters and the equally excited parents who had to speed walk just to keep up with them. Another memory that is evident, is that feeling of nerves a person feels when they’re about to get on a scary rollercoaster, but also that feeling of accomplishment that comes after once they’ve conquered it. Disney World represents home to me not only because of the great experiences that come with it, but because it is located in my hometown Orlando. I have to admit I do miss living there and knowing that Disney World is not too far away always gives me an excuse to visit. As a kid, I would always go on trips to Disney World and its image is a fond reminder of all those happy memories and easier…
