Descriptive Essay - My Favorite Singer--Lee Hom Wa.
My favorite singer, Lee Hom Wang, is a famous and successful singer in Asia. He had a tour concert in Asia recently, and he performed very well in the concert. In addition, he not only has good voice but also has talents in music. Moreover, he is very friendly to his fans.

Lee Hom is crazy about music, so he has devoted himself to mastering many kinds of instruments, for example, piano, violin, drum, guitar, bass and percussion instruments. His talents in music helps him a lot in learning instruments, for instance, it takes him only three days to master one of Chopin’s Nocturnes while it may take other people one week. In addition, in his recent concert, Lee Hom’s fans seemed to fall in love with the melodious sound of his performance of piano. Moreover, Lee Hom has produced many popular songs, for example, his lyrical songs can touch people easily because when people are hearing these songs, the scenes of these songs will arise in their minds. He also uses jazz and hip-hop in his music, and these kinds of music make people relax when they are stressed. Furthermore, when people hear Lee Hom’s recent music, they can feel Chinese Opera in his music lively because he wants to popularize Chinese traditional music to the world.

Lee Hom not only has talents in music but also has good voice. His mellow voice brings people a new and fresh feeling, and people will be consoled by his voice. Besides, his voice is so pure that people will never feel the impurity in his music, especially when the background music only uses one instrument. Also, when people hear his voice, they seems to listen to Lee Hom tell his own story, and they will be touched deeply. Additionally, the voice in the concert was the same with the voice in CD, and even has more his affection than the voice in CD.

Lee Hom is a friendly person, especially to his fans. In his recent concert, when some of his fans asked him to turn to certain angle to let them take the pictures or asked him to shake hands. He did what the fans wanted him to do. Furthermore, the experience I met Lee Hom in a restaurant left me a deep impression. In the restaurant, I was surprised that he and his friends sat opposite to my friend and me. I wanted to take pictures with Lee Hom, but he and his friends were eating and chatting. Finally, I summoned my courage to ask him a favor, and I thought it would be fine that if he refused me. Then, I was amazed that Lee Hom gave me the biggest favor I have ever received. I got his signature, shook hands, and took pictures with him. His friendly attitude will let me be his fans forever.

Lee Hom is not only a superstar in Asia, but also a true musician. His talents in music don’t make him proud but urge him to write more good songs. I hope he can promote his songs all over the world and let his good voice touch and console more people.

When asked to write an essay about a song of significance to me, I thought to myself, “This is going to be an easy grade”. But because of my love for music of all kinds, I found that the choice of which song to write about was even harder than I imagined. After a few days of contemplation and battling with what I felt would be most appropriate for my English professor to read, I decided to write about a song called “Making Memories of Us” by Keith Urban. I fell in love with this song for its beautiful, smooth melody and genuine words. I had no idea this song would make a permanent impression in my life.…

Bessie Smith and Sun House were icons for their own genre of Blues. Both demonstrate common concepts of the broader genre, but key elements in both styles separate Classic Blues from Country Blues. Smith and Son House demonstrate individuality in their music through singing techniques such as drawn out vowels, long vibrato notes, shifting between octaves, and a gritty voice texture at certain times. Both singers use improvisation as a stylistic tool although it may be unnoticeable upon the first hearing. However, much of the time, Smith’s sliding notes are more connected and subtle; an example of this is present in the very beginning from 0:15 seconds to 0:57 seconds.…

As a colleague of Dr. Jiang, I am aware of her enviable profile as a piano soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist (a term replacing “accompanist” to describe the role the pianist plays in an instrumental or vocal recital performance). I am impressed not only by the high status venues that have sponsored her performances, such as New York’s Lincoln Center, but also by the exceptional musicians with whom she has shared the concert stage. She has performed chamber music and recital programs with a host of renowned performers that include violinist Itzhak Perlman, Cleveland Quartet violinist Donald Weilerstein, Kronos Quartet cellist Sunny Yang, and Emerson Quartet cellist Paul Watkins. Recently she performed a piano…

    Who Is Cherished Lee

Several early Lee historians frequently told their readers that they cherished Lee and were momentously influenced by him, which is extremely evident in Freeman’s work. On the other hand, that affection one might have felt for Lee depended on a picture of righteous flawlessness and near divine nature. Freeman’s perspective is by an accounts that it is Lee’s flawlessness we should respect and be inspired by, regardless of how unattainable for mere mortal creatures. This might be a perspective that is just a result of that earlier period. Then again, later histories demonstrate to us a Lee who was controlled by his own personal demons, as many people can identify with. Further, these demons may have characterized him and probably determined…
