Descriptive Essay: A Day In Nauvoo
The air is warm as I scurry out of my tent. I stand on the bank of the Mississippi River watching it as it swiftly moves along; glittering in its bed as the early morning sun hits it. You can smell the dew on the grass, the fishy smell of the river, and the wet, musty smell of the woods nearby. I look beyond the river and see Nauvoo, the city of Joseph, in all its glory sitting there with the Nauvoo Temple looking like a gem, facing me across the river. I warm up by the fire and make a s’more. I head off to the showers to get ready for a big day in Nauvoo.
