Description of the places I liked in Atlanta
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Since I have been staying in the US, the rate and scope of my traveling increased. I make frequent trips, both short and long during the holidays, summer or other vacation. I have visited many places throughout the United States among which, my trip to Atlanta, Georgia was a recent one. In Atlanta, there are many places to go and sights to see. For example: Six Flags over Georgia, Stone mountain Park, Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the Atlanta[->0] Braves Stadium, Atlanta Botanical Garden are all in or near the city of Atlanta are some of them.

Six Flags over Georgia is a theme park[->1]. This park is just in the corner of Atlanta. As I recall, I can’t think of anything that they don’t have which other theme parks can have. Everything containing from sweet treats to fun rides was exciting. Six Flags provides many activities for all ages. It is not at all uncommon to see famous cartoon characters, such as Bugs Bunny, roaming around the park. Older children and adults who possess strong stomachs may enjoy riding the various roller coasters available. For example, The Ninja, was my favorite. The Ninja goes up and down steep hills and even loops upside down. Six Flags also has water rides available to keep people cool. My favorite was Thunder River. I was lucky enough to get caught under the waterfall. Six Flags also has games to play and many souvenir shops. As for the sweets I mentioned earlier, the funnel cakes are absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Six Flags to any of my friends as a place to go when visiting the Atlanta area not only because of its beauty but also for its great look, services and wonderful atmosphere.

Stone Mountain Park is another tourist attraction near Atlanta. The park is located in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Not only is it a fun place to visit, but it is also historical. This mountain is the largest exposed piece of

“When you smoke herb, it reveals yourself to you,” is a famous quote of the pothead and marvelous musician Bob Marley. He felt as though marijuana helped tune in with your inner being. I believe cannabis that cannabis does this too and therefore have become a habitual marijuana consumer. Being in tune with ones inner being is important, yet not the reason that I smoke cannabis. The cannabis plant is beautiful, from the leaf to the buds you smoke. I love the ‘highs’ from smoking marijuana, and last but not least, I love how I can function while ‘high’. The summary is that little nuggets of joy have been crucial in making me who I am now, and I am grateful for everything marijuana has brought.…

Upon opening my eyes as I wake up I stretch while taking a glance at the cursing clock that seems to hate me. I call my clock that because every day it seems as if it wants to wake me up at a later time each day. Than as my thoughts start to gather I realize that it’s the weekend, which means I can finally relax. I told myself that once the weekend comes I need to go get my nails done and finally relax and release all the stress and tension. In my mind a day of relaxation is a day at the salon where you walk in and seem to be all smiles, even with knowing that there is the most numbing smell and the extensive and prolonged filing that the nail artists seems to do.…

People are always talking about being in those situations where time slows down to the point where a few seconds feels like a few minutes, well I didn’t exactly think that is what actually happened. Until a dreary, calm, dull spring afternoon in Briargate (located in Northern Colorado Springs), about a week after my fourteenth birthday, I decided that I was going to go down to this plentifully lush creek next to a well travelled bridge. While I was walking down the sidewalk which lead to a path in the creek these dogs that were always jumping on the fence and barking viciously, the fence was bent outwards at least a foot, I suppose that day I was elected by someone up above to run. About a minute after I walked past the fence I heard this loud cracking of wood. Sure enough as soon as I turned half way around two large mouthed, sharp teethed, muscular Dover mans had just broken through the fence.…

My name is Kamilu. It is the only name I’ve ever heard and now what I call myself. I have grown up in a homeless shelter, in the beautiful lands of India. As a child this place never scared me even when I was alone at night with no mother to give me comfort. These old brick walls are my home. It is filled with the only people I’ve known my entire life. The superannuated streets are enclosed by the very building which the emperors lived. The walls are rich as the white pearl of gold. It has been carved a masterpiece and the only beautiful castle in all the lands. “I will live like that someday” I tell myself.…

While growing up on Smith Hill in Providence, Rhode Island, I had a lot to look forward to by the standards of a young elementary school boy. I followed my older cousins where ever they went through the neighborhood, usually the park. Around the corner from the street I lived on was Camden Park where my cousins and I spent hours during the summer and after school. Up the street from this park was a stand called New England Frozen Lemonade. Making the trip around the block to this lemonade stand was among some of the highlights of my life.…

In June of 2009 right after father’s day I found out that I was pregnant with my first and only child, which brought so much joy to my life. At first I was nervous about the news, but then the more I thought about it the more excited and happier I got. I finally realized that I was going to be a mother. I had scheduled my first ultrasound to see how my baby was growing and on that same day I found out that I was going to have a little boy on February 6, 2010. At that same ultrasound we discovered that my son’s left foot was clubbed. As a first time mom I went home and did as much research as possible on club foot. I was then referred to see a perinatal specialist whom did a number of ultrasounds and even performed an amniocentesis to test the chromosomes to ensure there weren’t any other complications. Even with the bad news of the clubfoot and having to go to double the amount of appointments along with more tests to be performed I was still just as happy. My son has changed my life in so many ways. Every morning I wake up and hear him calling for me and that is what keeps me motivated on a daily basis. The day he was born he weighed 4 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. I remember when I saw him for the first time and he was just a few hours old after the doctors had examined him to make sure he was going to be okay, due to finding a pocket of fluid around his heart when they did the last ultrasound right before I went into labor. In the past two and a half years we have had many doctor’s appointments between the normal check up’s, cardiology appointments to ensure the pocket of fluid has disappeared, and most importantly to see his pediatric orthopedic doctor to ensure that his foot his correcting properly. In January of 2011 he had his first surgery and the procedure that was performed was to cut his heal cord which helps with the flexibility of his foot and position it in the proper place. He had his first cast on when he was just a few…

As a young boy my parents and I moved around often, never stopping in one place for more than a few months at a time. It was quite annoying that in every place I moved to I never got to unpack my boxes; I figured there was no point when I would be uprooted again soon. At the age of fourteen we moved to a large city named San Bernardino in California. As we arrived in the city I wasn't surprised in the least seemed like any other place I had already lived. As we drove down a highly industrialized street named Pacific Road, I noticed on my right hand side many shopping centers ranging from an assortment of: food stores, clothing stores, barber shops, and lots of other shops. Upon my left hand side, were endless rows of apartments. A lot of them were over three stories high; I couldn't believe how many were lined up never endlessly.…
