Description Of The Wing Commander In The CAT Organization
I am Cadet Colonel Hernandez JMG, the Wing commander of the CAT organization batch 2016-2017 here at Colegio de San Lorenzo. I joined the CAT organization when I was in grade 8. Being a cadet officer candidate and a student at the same time is not easy. I trained for almost one year to become an officer. There’s a lot of struggles that I’ve been through. At first, I really don’t know why I joined this organization. My brother, Cadet Corporal Hernandez JG, also joined the CAT organization. He is the one who encourage and inspired me, this is only one of my reason why I joined COCC. COCC stands for Cadet Officer Candidate Course. A lot of people say, “Why did you join COCC? I don’t want to be late or else I will get disciplinary action, like push-ups and squat thrust. Months passed by, I became a flight commander. My first flight that I handle was Delta. That time flight Delta was the best flight. When I was in grade 9, I also became a flight commander but this time I handle flight Charlie, but it was just a short of time because I was promoted as Wing S1. I didn’t expect it, I was shocked. But still I am thankful. Being a flight commander is hard but being the Wing S1 is harder. There are a lot of duties and responsibilities. A lot of times I say to myself, “If it is hard, why don’t you just quit, Jailyca?”. Sometimes I just want to quit and leave my responsibilities to other people. Quit and then have a chill life. Quit and spend my years here in Colegio de San Lorenzo easy and without burdens. But then again I just can’t let myself quit. I will always tell to myself that “Never forget why you started in the first place. Keep going, keep working, never stop.” I fulfilled my duties as Wing S1 and during the CAT graduation or what we call Pasamasid batch 2015-2016, I received an award.
