Describe a Wedding of a Relative That You Attended
"I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heat and always call it home." vowed Faith.

After hearing that heartfelt vow be spoken, tears rolled down my cheek. I was attending my cousin, Faith's wedding. Faith and i are pratically sisters, both being only children. About six months ago, we were on a family vacation in New York City during winter. We invited Faith's boyfriend, Ian, along as he was like family to us. During the trip, Faith and i decided to have some 'sister' time. We went to the spa and talked. She about how she has dated Ian for two years and she was just dying for him to pop the question.

I could never get Faith to stop talking about how she met Ian and how the whole family adores him. Ian is a lovely young man who would do anything for her. Later that evening, Ian and Faith decided to have dinner on their own. We heard the door opening at around 11pm, we were all watching in my parents hotel room. About a minute later, Faith rushed into the room babbling so fast we could hardly understand her. After she calmed down a bit, i giggled guessing it was about Ian, and so I asked her what was going on. 'I'm engaged!!" she replied with tears in her eyes.

From that day on, arrangements for the wedding were made. I was lucky to be part of the whole process. From the flower arrangements to the cake design to the loaction. As Faith is an only child, she got to have an extravagant wedding. The wedding was held on a beach in Santa Monica on a breezy afternoon. It was beautiful. As i was one of her bridesmaids i got to wear a pale lavender dress with a pretty flowered headband. Ian was smartly dressed in his black tuxedo. Everyone was in awe as we watched Faith walk down the aisle with her father. She was wearing a gorgeous white wedding gown with her tiara and veil on her

When I turned fourteen, I had a long talk with my parents about my big day only being a year away and how we needed to start with all of the preparations. The first thing I look for was my dress. In my vision, it was the most beautiful, shiny, and spongy dress. I wanted to be a princess for a day. One day after school my older sister, Carolina, had a magazine with prom dresses in it. Since she was a senior, she was on the looking for a dress too. As we saw the magazine, we found a lot of pretty dresses and told my mom to take us shopping, so that Carolina could try some on. As we arrived to the store "Glitz and Glamour", we found out they sold quinceañera dresses as well. My mom asked the employee to bring us some quinceañera dress magazines, while Caro and I watched the magazines for prom dresses. Suddenly, I stumbled upon a beautiful, green, shiny dress. It was perfect. As soon as I saw it, I said, "Mom, I want this dress for my quinceañera." We told the lady that I wanted the dress and she explained that it was available in pink and green. Since I had fallen in love with the color, I told my mom I wanted it in green, but since the tradition is pink, it was obvious that my mom was going to say no. I disagreed with my mom and ordered it green. The lady told us that my dress would arrive in four days. I was…

Armin’s mother drove us to Chili’s, as she normally did because Chili’s was our hang out at the time, and dropped us off at the front door. We were there a little early because Armin did not want his mother to see his girlfriend. Armin did not tell his mother that he had a girlfriend because he did not know how she would respond to it. Armin, Jordan, and I walked in the front door. It was packed as it usually is on a Saturday night. All the tables were filled with people laughing and carrying on. The waitress then walked up to us with a fake cheesy smile…

I arrived to a church crowded with friends and family. So many people had gone to St. John’s Cathedral to witness the simple, yet elegant, tradition. There were also relatives from Mexico and Puerto Rico who took the long tiring trip to attend. I was honored to see so many people there on my special day. My court of honor led the way into the church. When it was my turn to walk down the aisle, soft music was played by the organist. I felt like a princess walking in my big, beautiful ball gown. My gown was similar to a wedding dress except it was a pastel pink. When the ceremony started it was nerve racking. I was thinking about my hair and people staring at me from behind, and hoping my tiara or…

The day started in a small where a small prayer was held before we headed out to the reception. My cousin sat at the front in her big blue, poofy dress while the guests all sat in the pews behind her waiting for the sermon to begin. The priest went through the prayer pretty quickly and my family and I rushed to the reception hall to make sure everything was ready by the time the guests arrived. My cousin was to arrive at a later time with her court of chambelanes. When I entered the reception hall, I was astonished by how beautiful everything looked. It resembled a disco ball with mirrors all around, even on the ceiling; the tables were covered in all white table cloths with a small blue centerpiece to match the quinceañera's dress; there were probably more balloons than there was people and the chandelier in the center of the dance floor brought the whole place together with its luxurious dripping crystals. When it was time for my cousin to arrive, a long, white Hummer stretch limo dropped her and her chambelanes off. As she entered, she greeted the few guests that had already arrived. With the light shining on her, she looked like Cinderella in her light blue dress which shined from all the glitter and diamonds it was covered…

"Okay. Thank you," I said. "Anytime. Love you," she said. "Love you too. Bye," I responded as I hung up. I unlocked the door and opened it. When I stepped out I noticed Val was standing in front of the door. "Why are you up," I asked. "You never bring you phone to the bathroom and when you do it freaks me out," he said. "Okay?" I said. He looked me in the eyes for a second and the said," do you really not want to get married?" "I...I don't know," I said. "Well it's either all in or all out. I'm not going to be in a relationship where your not 100% committed," he said. "Val," I said as tears formed in my eyes," just give me some time to think please." "No Jen if you aren't going to be committed, how will I know if you'll even show up for the wedding?" He said angrily. "You know what if you don't give me any choice in this, we're through," I said. "Here's your stupid ring. Now get your stuff and get out," I screamed throwing my ring at him. He went into my room and packed up all his stuff and walked out, slamming the door behind him. When I heard the door close, I knew it was over. I fell down and sobbed. A few seconds later I felt someone come hug me. I looked up to see Addison. I fell on her and cried…
