Describe a Time When You Have Organised an Event
1. Describe a time when you have organised an event. (This could be a large event, such as a party, or a small event, such as a gathering with friends.) What was the event, how did you organise it and what happened?

Situation
Last summer, my best friend’s birthday was approaching. I wanted to organise special birthday party for him in order to express daily’s appreciations.

Target
My target is organising a big party without telling him. I did not want him to have any doubts about my secrete project. Also, I wanted to make the party something special that he never had in his life before.

Action
As I came up this idea, I had to decide everything such as place, people, time and party’s contents. What I did first is that I made appointments with my friends who have special skills. One of my friends is good at playing music and familiar with good music, so I asked him to play role as DJ. Also he made a reservation a good size venue for the party. Another friend is good at making movies, so he created a short movie using a lot of pictures which shows our old memories. Finally, I send invitations to our friends with notes which say do not tell him anything.

Result
The party was great, and every piece of works did work well. It was our best memories and the movies and pictures which were taken during party proofed the extremely happy moment.

Better result
The birthday person had bit information about our project. I still do not know where the information came from, so I should have paid attention more to keep secret for next

To throw a successful, entertaining, and fun party that won’t be forgotten, there are three very important aspects to remember; they are as follows: the music, the food & drinks, and the people. Without these three components, a party won’t be memorable and soon will be forgotten. One must have all three of these things and just like Frank Sinatra’s song, “Love and Marriage’, “You can’t have one without the other.” Planning a party can be stressful, but if you start with enough time, enough money and enough people to help you plan or at least be there, then this party can be a huge, memorable, success.…
