In a dental office setting you would change the questions as well. You would ask questions about healthy dental routines. For example, a parking lot could say how many times a day should you brush your teeth? I would recommend you do this activity at the very end of the appointment.
For any patient with limited access to their hands I would opt out and began the lesson plan by just using the feelings board I disgusted and would move to car for them. This is not idea but would give you a chance to still discuss with your patient about

Our nurse practitioner is able to delegate a lot of the physicians' responsibilities as well as the medical assistants' responsibilities. The NP is able to do routine examinations, as well as diagnose common diseases. The patients that come into the facility vary from breaks in bones to strokes. The therapeutic approaches vary according to both the therapists and their choices of activities. The therapist I observed gave the patient a thorough understanding and demonstration of the exercises being asked. The Occupational Therapist chose certain exercises to help with the patient’s grip, strength, and range of motion. The therapist gave tips on self-care skills to help the patient with putting on articles of clothing and also helped to keep the patient’s morale high. With the therapist’s calming approach and easy to talk to attitude it was an obvious choice of why the patient requested to work the…

Hello, guy and gals, I am Ulisses Velazquez and I decided to take this class in an online format because I actually enjoy the peer interaction through the discussion board. I am looking forward to meeting and working with everyone. I actually do love art and how I spend my time on Instagram proves it I look at fast cars, custom knives, and gear. Also, I still have a few of the pieces that I did in ceramics class back in high school. I'm currently doing an associate in and Arts and I am hoping to transfer soon and get an associate in dental hygiene. Eventually allowing to work as a Dental Hygienist which I believe is like combining two of my favorite subjects science and art in a way. I like to stay active by going to the gym and exploring…

When I introduced myself to patient A for the first time she seemed very distressed. She was lying in bed on her side. She had a notepad and pen in bed beside her. She was able to write down that she felt very uncomfortable in the bed. I quickly learnt that she was also able to give a ‘thumbs up’ gesture for a yes as an answer and a ‘flat hand’ as a no answer. This meant you could ask her questions with a simple answer. It was important to maintain eye contact however still being to acknowledge her hand gestures. Body language is also important, so in order to do both I bent down to gain the important eye contact. I asked her if it was her position she was in and she gave a flat hand gesture, which indicated no, then I asked if she’d like any pillows on her bed, as she had none, to which she replied in the same way. She then wrote down that it was the mattress as she couldn’t move around easily on it. I told her this was because it was a pressure relieving air mattress. I told…
