Definition Essay On What Is Love
What is Love? Love. Something most of us humans strive to receive and give during our lifetime. Some question if it’s worth the sacrifices made, tears shed, broken hearts, time given, and effort. Or if all the butterflies in your stomach, and feeling of security and self- fulfillment takes away from every negative aspect. Although, everyday we see love, in movies, TV shows, books, magazines, social media, it leads us to believe as if we know what love truly is. But, what exactly is love? Love can mean a variety of different things to a variety of different people. It could be your favorite seasonal ice cream flavor that you love every June when it comes around. It could be concerts that give you the appreciation of quality live music that you …show more content…
But, does that really answer the question of “What exactly is love”? No, not really. Love to me is something complicated. Love to me is something bitter-sweet. Love is something you imagine is there forever but in reality sometimes it won't be. Now, don’t get me wrong, love is beautiful but it almost seems as if the consequences of the amazing feeling and enjoyment is worth it. I sound like I think love is a bad thing, but it isn't. It just depends on what you love. Because surprisingly there is a large difference between falling in love with something and loving something. Of course I love my mom, my sister, my cat, and more. It doesn't require much effort to, anyway. I live with them, was born into the family, and so on. But say, I start to fall in love. I was fine with my life before I started falling in love, but somehow life seems so much happier while in love. Love is now beautiful, easy to understand, a feeling better than anything, something that makes me even more content with my life. I am head-over-heals for somebody, and almost everything they do is perfect in my eyes. I love every flaw, every step, every movement, they make or do. Seems as if nothing they do could disappoint me.Even

What is love? I never knew until I was fourteen year old at my first horse show. My family has always told me that when I loved someone or something unconditionally for exactly what it was without expecting anything in return, and when I was away from whatever I loved I would feel like something was missing, and only then would I truly understand love. At that first horse show I understood what they told me. For me my first horse show changed my life, it made me feel so alive and I never wanted to leave. Everyone has their own definitions of love but mine is for a series of events and is much different from the typical "love" that most people understand.…

Love is an incredibly powerful word. When you're in love, you always want to be together, and when you're not, you're thinking about being together because you need that person and without them your life is incomplete. This love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions: completely loving someone. It's when you trust the other with your life and when you would do anything for each other. When you love someone you want nothing more than for them to be truly happy no matter what it takes because that's how much you care about them and because their needs come before your own. You hide nothing of yourself and can tell the other anything because you know they accept you just the way you are and vice versa.…
