OK - so everyone knows that it's important to declutter your home and fast - to get the debris and junk out of your space and out of your mind. Here are some tips and tricks that help make that process actually fun.

Declutter Fast - How it Started -

One of my clients was in this position. She had stuff in her house that had been there for decades. It was mainly junk that she had built up herself over the years as well as inherited from various friends and relatives. The problem was that she felt totally disempowered about removing it. She thought it was going to be torture!

Declutter Fast - Tip #1 - Removing the Pain -

The first problem she had was that everything looked heavy.

So here is tip number #1 - hire someone to help! We went down to the local college and put a note up for someone to help at less than ten bucks an hour. That was nothing! You could also post an add on craigslist if you don't have a

So here is tip number #2 - add friends! We invited a bunch of her friends to come around and help. They were awesome and supportive in her efforts to declutter fast.

Declutter Fast - Tip #3 - Add even More Fun! -

And now for tip number #3 - add snacks! We went down to the store and got a variety pack of candy for about $8. Actually - when we did this is was around Halloween - so we got one of those big candy bags they normally use to feed little children! We even bought a bottle of red wine to add a little levity! Of course - you have to be over 21 to do that part …
