Death In Romeo And Juliet
Death plays a very important role in Romeo and Juliet. In the beginning of the play it is easy to see something is going to happen to both Romeo and Juliet. As the story progresses the foreshadowing of a death becomes more evident. Death becomes common in Romeo and Juliet after Mercutio's death. Death is the theme of Romeo and Juliet because most of the main characters die, Paris is given Juliet's hand after Capulet thinks she is grieving over Tybalt, and it takes the death of their own children to stop feuding. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic play because a majority of the main characters die. The first death was in Act 3 Scene 1 when Tybalt stabbed Mercutio under Romeo's arm. Tybalt was the next to die by Romeo sword. Romeo was banished
