Dearest Daisy Monologue
My dearest Daisy, I have come to the realization that I will be loving you for the rest of my life, for every bit of you is engrained in me. It feels like it has been an eternity since I have last seen you. Eternities that my heart still continues to beat for you and only you my love, in which my yearning to be with you has only grown and consumed me from the inside out. I am writing to let you know I love you. I have recently received the news that you are to marry Tom Buchanan soon and I must urge you, must beg you, Daisy, not to. You must remember the love we shared in nineteen-seventeen. That was the year we met, October to be precise. Do you remember that night my darling Daisy? It was a cool night with a calming fall breeze that graced your lawn. You wore that beautiful white dress of yours …show more content…
I despise every moment without you darling. Just the thought of you has the power to keep me restless through the night. Id promise to never leave your side. Everything i do, i do for you my love. Together i believe we can build an empire, conquer the world. But until that day, i continue to dream. If i knew i would have you again one day , I would endure all of this pain over and over again for 100 years my love. For you I would climb the highest of mountains, tread the deepest, most shark infested waters, and run through the driest of deserts. Anything for you my love. Be with me and i promise you, anything you could ever wish for, I will bring to you. Whatever your magnificent mind could think of, I will hand you on a silver plate. Anything Tom could give you i could give you more of, better quality too. He is no man darling, no man at all and especially no man for you. You and I were destined to be together for eternity. Love has consumed me, made me selfish, I would rather die a million deaths than live without you for the rest of my life. I simply cannot exist without your

Daisy Buchanan is a questionable character who, in ways, lets the reader down. Quickly, the author reveals Daisy’s character when he announces that Tom, Daisy’s husband, has “some woman in New York” (Fitzgerald 15). This news is startling because Daisy knows about the other woman. At this point, the reader can start to wonder what kind of person Daisy is for having knowledge of the affair, but doing absolutely nothing about it. At first the reader could see Daisy as this beautiful, elegant woman, but is then let down given the fact that Daisy is doing nothing about her husband’s affair.…

Tom, her husband, commits unworthy actions that a husband should not do, but is very wealthy. Instead of being with a man who she truly desires to be with, she would rather be with a man that had more money from the beginning. In an argumentative discussion, Daisy communicates to Gatsby that she “did love [Tom] once but [she] loves him too” (140). Since Daisy is torn between the concept of money and love, she does not know who she desires to be with. However, a physical interaction between Gatsby and Daisy made Gatsby’s “heart beat faster and faster as Daisy’s white face came up to his own”(117). This shows that Daisy does have an attraction towards Gatsby, but prefers the benefits she receives by being married to Tom. If she was pure and innocent as her white colored face, she would not use her husband for…

Daisy, on the other hand, tries hard to be shallow, even going so far as to say she hopes her baby daughter will turn out to be a fool.…

The arrow that Cupid had fired at you ricocheted and sunk into my willing flesh. It was a one way relationship, with me loving you and you pushing me away. My life became a slideshow in my head as the days silently slipped by, my mind filled only with thoughts of you. Every morning I would walk alone amongst the grove of sycamore trees, living as if I were dead. Penned in my room throughout the day, I created an artificial night, where I spent countless hours staring into empty space. Why do you not love me like I love you? There is but one clear image in my mind, and that is the image of your face. The beautiful, flawless face that I have loved since the moment I laid my eyes upon you. Everyone else is but a foggy…

I have been blacklisted, fired from two jobs in just a year. Both for reasons that are ridiculous, first of all because I wanted to get a pay rise I mean what I am supposed to do when I have so little money, just carry on like everything is ok. The other girls in my work needed the money to, they just had no confidence to be able to speak up and say the truth. The second reason was by far the most stupid and frustrating reason, this girl just did not have the right figure for this dress so I thought I should put it on to show her how to wear it and apparently that was the wrong thing to do. I suppose I knew that it would frustrate her but when your as poor as me, you will try to do anything to show that you can compete with the rich but in this case I couldn't. She said that if I wasn't fired I she would close our account so there was no choice for me really. I really do try and stand up for my self but these days trying won't get you far if your not upper class.…
