The reason of this assignment is to explore and explain approaches in navigating databases, talk about the finding of the search process, closing with four relevant sources that related to the research questions, “What competence do counselors believe they have to incorporate spirituality into hospice care, and What course(s) are need for counselors to feel comfortable integrating spirituality in a therapeutic setting?”

While, EBSCO offers advanced search engines, Academic Journal, such as Counseling & Values, Multicultural Counseling & Development, and Death & dying. While using Booleans operators, needing capital letters (AND, OR, NOT), insuring a broad or narrow search and not as words in a title or phrase. Example, the search hospice AND spiritual searching for both hospice and spiritual, OR only searching for one term, spiritual OR religious, NOT results do not have the specified term the search spiritual NOT religious, finds items that have spiritual but do not have religious.
Conclusions and Four Description of Research Designs
Ground Theory Study:
Per Magaldi-Dopman (2012), study An “Afterthought”: Counseling trainees’ multicultural competence within the spiritual/religious domain, in the journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development, multicultural training allows for discover of trainees’ in strengths and biases when approaching issues of spiritual, religious, and nonreligious among their client (p. 195).
Meta-Analysis:
According to Walker, Gorsuch, and Siang-Yang (2004). Ellington et a Therapist’ integration of religion and spirituality in counseling: A Meta-analysis, design, in Counseling and Values therapist’ questioning how counselors’ cultures, respect and comfort, non-religious/religious beliefs affect clients (Walker, Gorsuch & Sing-Yang, 2004).
